Lately, third year students had gotten into making pranks and crafting challenges way too much. Their newest idea had been a test of courage in the school's library, an infamous place thanks to the flying white orbs that appeared at nightwhich so many talked about during breaks or so.

Nana wasn't one to admit her fears: ugly bugs; rats; big dogs; ghosts; and gore; between many others. Ghosts were the closest to the concept of flying orbs —but she still decided that it was a good idea to tackle onto the dare, if she brought someone with her. As soon as Sunako mentioned something about the subject, on her Twitter, Nana saw the open door as the perfect opportunity to test her own courage and, of course, spend some quality —fearful— time with Suna! The other girl seemed way more cool headed than Nana herself could ever be, and that could be a problem: she wasn't meant to look like a chicken coward in front of an underclassman, no! She was going to be brave and pretend she was not going to be scared. Then again, how bad could it be? Some flying lights... As long as they stayed distracted they would be alright, right?

A few days after the twitter exchange, Nana messaged Sunako's with the details about the dare. They were meant to spend the night, overnight, in the library. They would need food and... Hopefully the restrooms wouldn't be closed (?) There were many interrogation signs on Nana's info message, without missing, of course, a couple of cute ghost emojis here and there. Last but not least, Nana mentioned that she was willing to do it 'that day's, as she had already packed something to eat during the night. It was Suna's chance to back off if she wanted to.

But Nana prayed that she wouldn't have to do it alone.

To think there was a test of courage in Seiyo!

Suna loved horror. It was about one of the few things that broke her apathetic gaze. And she was just amused when she watched other people got easily scared - her brother especially. She was more into horror game shooters like the ones in Aosaka Arcade, but a test of courage was more real since people could come out. But probably the best part of horror was that it wasn't real. That in the end, she could relax and get back to work. Compared to the real, dangerous things that were happening around Seiyo and West Oto, this was nothing but a bit of fun.

She was surprised to hear that this was an overnight session. She'd have to leave right away to get ready for Faberge practice the next day, but at least she had the night to have some fun with her newfound friend. She bought a few emergency food (most of it were tangerines, but her mom wisely packed some more junk food just in case Nana needed food) and some waterbottles, and a sleeping bag. Would the scarers let them sleep...? She hoped so. She had things to do after all.

<<Thanks for the info. Brought food, water, sleeping bag. Anything else needed?>> she texted back. Once she confirmed with Nana what they needed, she'd head out to Seiyo.

She did not have a sleeping bag, and there was no way in hell that she would ask Sunako if she had a spare one, it would make her sound... Poor, and cheap. Nana would have to pack a few coats to use as blanket and pillow, while sitting on some random chair by a desk to have some sense of comfort. That is, if she were to get sleep at all.

"Good to go!" Nana replied, with an ok hand sign emoji.
"I'm on my way to the library. I'll see you there!"

Something on Nana's stomach was twisting and churning. It was anxiety, even if she didn't recognize the emotion. Part of her regretted her decision to do the challenge, but it was too late. Reluctant hands put her phone away while she told Her brother where she was going. Some teasing came here and there, and the siblings shoved each other as they made their way downstairs. With her heart racing, Nana said good bye to her parents, whom weren't all too sure about her plan to stay over at school —and were rrady to go pick her up, should problem arise.

The Seiyo Academy campus was only 15 to 20 minutes away from Nana's house —if she walked fast enough and without distractions, but the road had been tiring and sluggish, as if there was no end to the streets. She really didn't want to do this anymore....

But here she was now, standing by the library's entrance, waiting for Sunako to arrive. She was in,a o Nana couldn't just drop her like that! Now, how should the challenge begin?
