Nana had been one of the lucky students to have been invited to her classmate's party. They were turning eighteen and wanted to make it big —a week before their actual birthday: their parents wouldn't be home for the whole weekend, which meant the perfect time to either make a disaster or the party of the season during those two days. As the social person she was, Nana felt both uplifted and privileged to be included, and she would make sure to look the part to give a great impression, too.

She didn't have a date to go with though. There weren't many people she could invite, anyway... Seiyo guys were... Something.... One of their kind....

But she could invite a friend if she wanted, right? Since the galpals from her classroom were in, she figured there was a second year she could drag into that mess. Who else but Sunako! Only one tweet was enough to convince her into going, which was surprising, but better for her. She didn't need to beg for it.

Furthermore, on the big day, Nana started to get ready in the late afternoon. She didn't mean to arrive too early, but neither late —making people wait for you was distasteful and outdated. She would be there at the 'right' time with Suna in one arm! Her guardian character had taken care of Nana's beauty and confidence needs: she would be there to support her girl! A character change took charge of Nana's body for that duty.

But she still had to message Suna about the party, or at least remind her. She wouldn't have forgotten, would she? Taking breaks as she dressed up, and applied her makeup, Nana picked up her phone and messaged the second year:

"Party night!!! What will you wear" followed by the emoji of two inquisitive eyes.
"Let me know what time to pick you up !"

Then, after few minutes, another text should have popped up on Sunako's notifications.

"LMAOOO I don't know where you liveee, I'm ready though!! " Next to a couple of emojis crying profusely.

It would be a good evening, she was sure!

Sunako, on the other hand, was pretty sure she didn't confirm that she was going to the party. She just said she was free. That meant - she was just free...right?

So that day, Sunako was studying and helping out in the family restaurant as needed. She felt very behind after doing a big concert earlier in the week, and so she had completed as many of her assignments as she could. The last thing she had - a reading assignment for English - she was working on it in her room when Nana suddenly texted her. Wait, party night?

"Suna-chan, are you done with your homework? You remember my high school friend who moved to Korea - she's presenting on TV for an award show! You wanna watch?" Her mom, as always, didn't bother to knock - but she paused as she saw Suna on her phone. "...oh, is that Chiyo? How is she these days? I saw her poster for her new concert today while I was grocery shopping."

"Ah no," she replied. But maybe she shouldn't have, judging by her mom's large grin.

"It's a boy, right?"

"No! It's...my senpai! Who is a girl!" she added hastily. Leave it to her mom to get all excited at just the idea of Suna having a boyfriend. At least she knew Minji was dealing with the same thing with her aunt. "Senpai just...she invited me to a party a few days ago, and she thought I agreed--"

Her phone buzzed. Oh, wait, she was really going to pick her up? And she seemed so excited about it, and she thought Nana was really nice and...but a party? She was used to crowds, but in Faberge, usually people had something to work on and did their own thing. But parties...people...socialized and talked and danced with each other...things that Suna wasn't really used to at all.

Her mother on the other hand - her grin might've gotten larger.

"Suna-chan! You have to go then!" she said, before opening Suna's closet and looking through her clothes. "I never thought I'd see Suna going to a party with friends...she might've just ended up a dancing machine..." she said, fake crying, "...of course I want you to be responsible and do not, I mean, do not ever go with weird guys out of the party without your friend, but I shouldn't have to worry about that with you. I know you're always working, so I'm glad that you've decided to go out with your friend!"

"But I didn't even...agree.."

But it was already too late. Her mom was showing off all of her clothes and talking about how excited she was about this, and how she used to go to parties in high school and after theater shows, and as usual Suna couldn't get a word in edgewise. She just wanted to finish her homework...well, at least she had finished most of it. Eventually, she just texted Nana her address, and after shooing her mom out of the room, she picked a simple outfit of leggings, a long sweater dress and a warm coat. Oh, Nana asked about her clothes...well, she'd just have to see it. Hopefully she didn't judge her too hard. She'd never been to one of these things, so she had no idea how to dress.

She waited downstairs in the restaurant for Nana. Her mom was thankfully too busy with a fussy old couple to comment on her right now, but...what would Nana think? At least Firiel wasn't here. She should've been sleeping in her egg next to her desk. If she found out about this she...well, Firiel and her mom, she noticed, weren't all that different from each other...

Someone walked through the door soon enough. Was it her?

She didn't even agree? When did she not 'not agree'?! A mixture of emotions, anger, sadness, and embarrassment, began to trouble her better intentions. Nana needed a second to sit down by her bed and look away from the screen; closing her eyes and letting her whole weight plop onto the mattress, making some of her make up tools bounce off of the bedsheets.

"We're not going..." Nana mumbled, "not together, I guess. She said she hadn't agreed to go. Oh, this is sooo embarrassing...!" Nana's character change wore off with her words, twisting her lips and making noises of discomfort. "I got all excited and dragged her into it without double checking... She's going to think 'wow, Nana senpai is so pushy, ew!'." The girl's face got a red tone over her cheeks, from the shame of what Suna could be thinking.

Until her phone buzzed again, and her guardian character brushed to pick up the phone.

"You have a new text, girl!" Said the purple haired fairy, not caring about Nana's privacy and unlocking her phone, shipping through apps and making it to her texts. A contact with a tangerine —it was an orange— emoji had new messages. "Minamoto San sent her address! She must have changed her mind... See? Not all is lost. Get up! Get your shoes ready and move, move, move!" Her tiny hands clapped, rushing Nana to shake her negativity off, and ready to summon anothwr character change I'd that's what she needed. She wouldn't let her girl feel down for a simple misunderstanding.

At the mention of Suna's address, opened her eyes; covering the glare from her room's lightbulb with one hand. "Did she? Really?" It came off as a shy mumble, insecure, like the usual Nana without Magical powers. "She's not going to think I'm weird, is she?"

"'course not! You're making a fuss over nothing, jeez..." Her dramatic and ever bossy guardian responded, crossing her arms under her chest. "You'll have fun together, Nana chan, believe in youraelf a little more!" Thus, a character change took part.

"On my way!" Madame texted on Nana's stead.

After running downstairs —and asking her father to call an UBER for her, she wasn't going to pay cabs— Nana said bye to her parents and waited for her ride to arrive. She didn't bother about her brother, knowing that he would be there too, with his own friends.

Upon making it to Suna's house, she asked the driver to wait a few minutes. Nana made it into the restaurant looking around for Suna's presence, dressed quite the opposite from Suna's more relaxed fashion: she wore heels, a jacket, and a sleeveless dress. Yes, it was cold outside, but her guardian character considered that there were sacrifices meant to do for the sake of looking nice. Upon meeting glances with her, Nana gasped, mixed emotions again: she was underdressed for the occasion... But she looked cute! Tomboy cute! But she needed more... Thankfully she had makeup on her purse. "Hiii! There's an UBER waiting. Let's go?" Nana didn't... know how to apologize to Suna just yet, so she kept her worries in the back of her head. "You're not missing anything? Phone, money, etcetera?" But she was used to remind her friends, and be reminded, of her personal belongings. She had her back!

Suna was surprised to see Nana dressed so...formal? She felt so embarrassed - was it a fancy party? It was at someone's house, right? She wanted to say that she could change if needed, except for the fact that Nana said there was a car waiting outside already. If she was just more direct, then she wouldn't have let Nana drive all the way here...

"Oh, is this your friend? Nice to meet you! I'm Suna's mom!" Her mom greeted Nana while waving from the back, "Please take care of Suna! She's new to these things! She doesn't have a curfew or anything, just as long as she comes back is all that matters!"

Suna just wanted to bang her head against a wall. Didn't that sound really...undisciplined? If she was in her mom's position she'd want to know when they were coming back and what kind of party it was. She just rushed out of there as fast as she could to the car. She tilted her head after Nana asked about her personal belongings. She quickly checked her coat pockets and bag, it looked like everything was in order - except for a purple egg that wasn't supposed to be there. Of course she snuck in again. She just sighed and closed the bag.

"I...I got all of these things," she said. "...I just wish I had dressed better...some of my dancewear would've worked," she replied as the two got into the car. "You look really great. But aren't you cold? I wouldn't want you to get sick..."
