+ Description: Someone’s trashed the Arcade while Ohno stepped out--he’s offering an entire afternoon’s worth of free games to anyone who wants to help out and clean it up.

Minji was not exactly happy as she stepped into the arcade. She's already been there once before and had already agreed to actually help clean up. While she still certainly didn't need the whole 'afternoon of free games' herself, considering her stance on most video games she really didn't feel like it was something she'd want or need - so she was doing it of her own free will. She really didn't want a place she hung around fairly often to look like such a mess.

The girl was a little bothered - the trashing of the place seemed to happen a decent amount. It wasn't okay, at all. But even so, she rolled her shoulders and stepped further into the building - seeing a couple of other people helping out - but she didn't really feel the need to join them specifically. She grabbed a black bag herself - choosing a space she'd take for herself to clean up. At least it gave her something to do.

The skater girl crouched down - grabbing at bits and pieces of things off of the floor and tossed them into the bag without really thinking about it all that much.

Cleaning was okay at least. It was better that it was just trash rather than anything else. 

She should probably get a brush right? It would make more sense at least - but she'd kind of already set her pace and without somebody else actually talking to her she probably wouldn't stop doing what she was doing. 

Sunako

[Sunako]

Every so often, when Suna was in the area, she'd pass by the arcade and play some shooters. She tried not to do it so often since it was such a money-sink, but sometimes she'd just keep going and going until it was pretty dark. Unfortunately, when she finally found time to play, the arcade looked like a piece of crap. It was those delinquents that'd the school been talking about, wasn't it? She wanted to hunt them down, but...the arcade probably needed more help, didn't it?

She peeked inside. A few kids were nice enough to help, but it wasn't enough. She saw a girl with long hair and a cap similar to her own picking up trash near the entrance. "Um, hey. Do you guys need more help? I'm willing to volunteer if possible."

[Minji]

Minji tilted her head back - looking towards the newcomer. "Oh yeah - more help'd be good." She moved her head again ans stood - giving the girl a smile. It was always good to have more people around to help out. There was a decent amount of stuff that they had to get done. It was a tip. "Just pick a place to start." She nodded her head a little - turning back to her own starting point - which she'd cleared already.

She grabbed a corner of the trash bag and moved it a little bit and lent down once more to continue her cleaning. "Oh - Minji by the way." If they were 'working together' she should introduce herself right? She had the bad habit of not telling people her name sometimes - and didn't often give out her last name at all. She reached up to adjust her hat a little and looked back at the girl once more. "Oh - I think theres more like...cleaning stuff there." She pointed in the general direct of where she'd gotten her singular bag. 
...cleaning wasn't really something Minji did often. 

She looked over towards the other people cleaning too - they'd moved onto the far side by this point - they were doing their part of the job quickly apparently. 



 

[Sunako]

"Oh good," she replied, opening the door and slipping into the arcade. It was trashed, all right, but the damage to the machines seemed minimal so far. She grabbed some gloves and plastic bags to put trash in, when the girl next to her introduced herself. Oh right. She just walked in without introducing herself too, huh? "My name's Minamoto Sunako, but Suna's okay," she said. Now that she thought of it, the name Minji sounded really familiar, but she wanted to concentrate on cleaning before she asked more questions.

Oh, right. She could probably use some cleaning spray too.

She followed Minji's directions and grabbed a glass cleaner to spray off some dirt some screens. Clean up seemed to be proceeding quickly, and as Suna finished up, she went toward Minji's area where they still seemed to be some extra paper cups and other things.

"Seriously, who did this?" she muttered, half to herself and half to Minji, picking up a half empty can of coke. "Does the owner know?"

[Minji]

"Oh - yeah. He was the one who asked people to volunteer?" Although - the girl hadn't sounded like she'd known that actually. "It's happened a few times before I think?" At least, Minji was pretty sure of that anyway, and she didn't think they'd ever caught the person to blame before either. So it wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't find anyone this time around either. "Nobody really knows." She shrugged a little - tossing a few more things in her trash bag. 

"I guess some people just like to be bothersome to others." She shrugged again, it wasn't like it mattered to her why they did it - or who did it really, just so long as they didn't do it again. Sure if she was at the arcade she spent most of her time in the back so she never really saw what went out outside much, it still wasn't cool to mess up a place that was so important to people. 

She peered around a couple of the machines and let out a quiet sigh. "Looks like they made way more of a mess back here." Had - had somebody knocked over one of the claw machines? She blinked a little. Minji wasn't entirely sure she was seeing it right. "Haaa - we might need to do some lifting in a little bit." The skater girl wasn't too worried about that. She could still lift a decent amount of weight - and even if Suna couldn't she was sure they could ask one of the others to help out. 

"...But lets finish here first. Best to go around is sections right?" She had a decent amount of experience in cleaning. Her own room being a horrifying tip.

[Sunako]

"What, really? ...I wonder if he has the money to hire a guard. I've never seen the owner when I'm here, though," she replied, still trying to clean her section. "People like that should be taught a lesson. Like, well, picking up after the mess they made," she said, "I hope you find the guys who do this."

She noticed that Minji was looking at an area that had been pretty hard hit. "That's fine. I'm sure with one extra person we can help pick that up," she said. She kept at her section, picking up more trash. How many sodas did these guys go through? And was that a beer bottle? It was disgusting, how people could just destroy property instead of doing something worthwhile with their lives. But perhaps this wasn't the time for negative thoughts. There was someone here, and they probably needed to distract themselves from the mess. "...so, do you come to the arcade pretty often?" she asked, and paused. "You're really nice to answer the call to volunteer to clean up the place."

[Minji]

"I mean...I'm sure he has more than enough if he wanted to..." She shrugged. She didn't know Ohno that well so she couldn't totally accurately say that he could. But - "Hiring a guard is kind of like giving up. Like 'We can't catch you so we'll just have to do this instead'. I'm not sure he'd want that." Or at least that was how she thought about it, because yes - it would have made sense to do that - but obviously he hadn't. "Either way - I hope they get found too." 

"Hm - yeah we could." She nodded her head a little - she'd probably try to lift it herself first though...just to see if she could. "I'm here a lot yeah." Not to play games usually though, unless she felt the need to destroy peoples scores on certain machines, which wasn't all that often. "Uh -" She turned to look at the girl - would she know about Roost? She was aware of people without eggs knowing about it but...she wasn't sure if the other would know. "It's only because of that I'm really helping - I don't like the places I'm at to be so..." She gestured to the area around them, if she could have cringed at the sight she would have. 

"I don't think I see you here often..." Although, considering she wasn't in the main part of the arcade most of the time it wouldn't have surprised her if the other girl was there a lot too and they'd just never bumped into each other before. 

[Sunako]

"I don't know. If catching them isn't an option, why not find a way to prevent them to come here in the first place?" she asked, shrugging. Ugh, there was an empty can with ants crawling inside in there. She tossed it into her trash bag. "I'm sure it might cost a lot to hire one, though. Hopefully the regulars here like this place enough to help him out."

She picked up a few more things in the meanwhile. "Ah. Sounds fun. I only come here about...once a month? If I'm lucky. Mainly to relieve stress." She eyed her shooter games. Well, she could play next time. "We'll be here for a while, won't we."

"...now that I think about it, have I seen you before?" she asked, "Do you go to Seiyo?"

[Minji]

"I mean, it'd make sense but -" She shrugged her shoulders. It wasn't like it mattered in the end - it wasn't something Ohno had done before so she kind of doubted that it was something that he'd suddenly do because of somebody who was probably just an annoying bunch of teenagers.
Her eyes flickered over to the empty bottles of alcohol. Maybe...not so much teenagers. 
"Regulars do help out yeah. But also the free afternoon of games is pretty appealing too." She tried to offer the girl an annoyed look - but as it was it wasn't something her face could do.

Minji continued to grab a few things, shoving them into the bag herself. "So rare then?" She let out a low hum and turned her attention to the other girl once more. She wasn't sure how much longer it would take - but it was clear that the girl had turned up in the hopes of actually relieving her stress. "I mean...it might not take that long..." She shot a look around the room - there was a decent amount to do but - they should be okay.

"Um - Seiyo? Yeah." Looking at the girl...maybe she recognized her? Honestly - until more recently Minji hadn't paid all that much attention to those around her so, it wasn't all that unexpected that she didn't know if she did know this girl or not. "Second year." She offered a 'v' sign and turned her attention to the knocked over machine. "Are you from Seiyo as well then?"

[Sunako]

Somehow her suggestion didn't sound feasible to the girl here. Was she asking too much? She just nodded. "Huh, free afternoon of games?" she asked, sounding a little excited. But she relaxed and just picked up more trash. "I didn't come to help for that...but...it is tempting."

"It's rare. I just finished an event, so they gave us the day off after," she said, "And I usually end up here if I don't have any homework due." Now that she'd finished cleaning up all the extra trash here, she could finally brush off the extra dust. Or should she mop it off? In the end she settled for a broom and a pan. "Oh, really? It just looks like a lot to me, but I'll trust you."

"Second year at Seiyo. Yeah, I think I remember your hat, for some reason," she responded. Now that she thought about it, they both sounded really...monotone? She didn't meet people like that often. She wondered if the other girl realized that too. She just went back to cleaning up and dusting around, and then picking up a screen cleaner to get the dust off some machines. And after that was done, there was the question of the arcade machines that had been knocked down. "Wanna get to the fallen equipment over there?"

[Minji]

"Ha - right? It's why most people came to help out..." She nodded her head a little - that was clear enough. Most people wouldn't have just come to clean because they wanted to. Well - unless they were her. But most people actually had to be motivated to do something like cleaning for fun. "Most people won't just come clean for fun." And another shrug of her shoulders. 

"Ah - an event?" She wondered briefly what she meant by event. Something to do with Faberge maybe? That was the first thing that popped into her head - she only really ever associated the word 'event' with some kind of agency. "I mean...its not great. But it could definitely have been worse." And it could have been.

"Ah? The hat?" That was...a surprise? She really didn't think that most people knew her for her hats - sure she had such a large amount of them - most people just knew about her dangerous hobbies, so she appreciated the fact that at least one person knew her for something else. Minji had noticed that the other girl was just as monotone as she herself was - but chose not to mention it. Some people were just that way right? It wasn't like she was the only person in the world whose tone didn't change. 

Her head perked up a little - and she looked over to the fallen machine. "Hm - yeah. We might as well get it done now." She rolled her shoulders slightly finishing off the area she was cleaning - and tied a knot in the bag. "Wanna try with just us to first?" She was already approaching the machines, sure they'd be able to do them on their own anyway.

[Sunako]

She nodded. "I wonder...if it has a limitation, like the free games can only be redeemed within six months or something like that..." she said. Her schedule was becoming more hectic these days. Where could she pencil it in? ...or should she just not ask for it? She sighed. She was getting older, and maybe she shouldn't really play games on her days off, but it was fun...

"Ah, yeah. A concert. Was a back up dancer for a trainee idol," she said flatly. She wished it was her friend Chiyo instead, but she was still recovering from her ankle injury. "...I'll take your word on that."

"Is...that weird?" she asked. But not many girls she knew wore beanies. Outside of a few dancers, but school wise she only remembered her. "Then again, there was this silver haired guy that I didn't recognize was in my class until recently...I'm probably the weird one here..."

At least the fallen machine was a distraction to all that. She pulled up her sleeves and headed toward that area. When they were ready, they brought up the machine as far as they could, but it was a lot heavier than Suna thought. She blinked as some of the dust came into her eyes. "...one more person should do it," she said. She pointed to one idle looking guy. "Hey, you. Can you help us?"

The boy stopped whatever it was he was doing and headed their way. He seemed annoyed at Suna, but he got one side, and waited for the girls to help support him. It should work if the three of them were there, right?

[Minji]

"I think it mean, like...this afternoon? Once all the cleaning is done?" She was pretty sure that that was what Ohno had meant when he'd offered the afternoon up - obviously if anybody wanted to get anything out of it that way they'd have to get the cleaning done pretty quickly, so it was pretty good motivation. "I mean, if you can't do that I'm sure if you talk to him he might figure something out for you?" Well - for that she wasn't so sure. She'd not talked to Ohno all that much and still wasn't entirely sure what kind of person he was. But he seemed like a kind person, so she was sure he wouldn't mind. 

"Oh, wow." She hadn't expected that actually - she thought maybe helping out backstage would have been something but to actually have been a back up dancer? Even for just an idol in training it was still pretty impressive, or at least Minji thought so. "Ah - that sounds interesting." 

"Oh - no. Not weird at all. I'm just use to people knowing me for other things." Worse things. Things that got her yelled at by her friends and other people on twitter. "Ah - you're talking about Ai, right? I mean...I think he transferred in recently? So it's not that strange." She'd only met him because he'd seen her climbing onto a roof. "Uh - what class are you in then?" Was...she thought Ai was in her class? Or did they just share P.E? Now she wasn't sure...

Evidently Minji had been a little too optimistic about the whole the just two of them lifting the machine on their own. With the three of them it barely weighed anything and it was back into its original position. She was glad that it was back in place at least. "Ah - man, thanks for the help." She offered the boy a grateful smile and a fist bump - because that was her only way of saying thanks. 

[Sunako]

"Oh! That works better with my schedule then," she said, although she bet she sounded a bit childish, being excited about games. But why else would she be here, anyway? Dancing might be her passion, but everyone had at least one side hobby. "Hmm? Ah, thanks.

"Other things? ...I guess you're pretty athletic looking too?" she asked. Her tanned skin seemed to indicate that Minji was out in the sun a lot. "Oh, you know Okazaki-san? ...I don't know. When I think about it, his hair should really stand out to me..." she said. Her failure to recognize other people was just one of the many things she needed to improve. "Oh? I'm in 2-B, why?" she asked. Was...was she in her class too?

The boy fist bumped Minji back. "No problem," he said, although he still seemed a bit icy toward Suna. Suna, finally noticing this, turned away from him and tried to lift up another fallen machine. It was easier than the last machine, but she still signaled Minji to help her lift it up. "...um...did I do something wrong?" she whispered, eyeing the boy that was now lifting another machine by himself.

[Minji]

The girl scratched her cheek. "Ah - other things..." She looked away from the girl a little, checking out the rest of the room a little, just to see how much they needed to clean now and then looked back at the girl. "Parkour, skateboarding. I normally get told I'm dangerous or something." She shrugged a little. Which made sense, she supposed, she did know that people did find her activities to be worrying and dangerous to herself. She got told off often enough of Twitter. "Ah? I do?" Minji really didn't think she looked all that athletic, sure she did a lot of exercise but...

"Nah, I meant like, it's not a surprise you didn't see him or his hair before he moved here." She felt like she needed to clarify what she meant - she didn't mean to make the girl feel like she should have seen him before. "But yeah I know him." She shrugged a little, she'd met him a few times at least. "Ah - 2-B...I think I just got confused sorry." They must just share P.E. then. 

Minji moved as the girl indicated her to - and they moved the machine very easily. It wasn't too bad. She gave the girl a look at her question and looked back at the boy with a slightly confused look before she was looking back at Suna. "I don't think so?" She wasn't sure, it might well have been that they'd met before at some point so he just responded to Minji better? "I suppose it might be because you didn't say please when you asked him to help us?" That was the best explanation she could come up with.
