[AQ] Guardian Festival [Paii&Vaii / Leo&Shura]

"She has...No need for reward then? I'm shocked. That's the first I've heard of such things." For all he knew, humans can't be bothered to do anything unless SOMETHING was up for the taking. He is a pretty oportunistic guardian character himself, often only helping when he stands to benefit from it, too. Or, when he's not doing that, make sure that Shun takes the opportunity he is given. True, he isn't the most charitable, but he wanted to see Shun succeed, even if it meant twisting a few things into shape. "Ah, but that means, the reward for doing things, in her mindset, is acknowledgement. Correct?" Maybe he is being too analytical, but that proves that even she had a need for reward, or a feeling of being rewarded.

"Oh right, excuse me, Vaii. But I would certainly smite any guardian character who forgets that their main goal is to make their human succeed." But then again, he's never met a guardian character who would readily leave their human to seek their own desires. "We might disappear when the wish comes true. That much, I know." It could get kind of scary, but that is what they must go through when the wish is fulfilled. "To return to the heart, grant a wish, make the ideal human. Yes, getting along with your 'sibling' is important for that to happen." If only Shura was here. He would so tease him for referring to them as siblings. Something he wouldn't normally do. He would really deny it all the time. "Although..." Nevermind. Whatever it is, he doesn't want to think about it.

"I would hate to see you come to any harm. It's as simple as that." Shura's trademark smile is plastered on his face this entire time. Paii is amusing. Her actions and her generally mean nature makes for good times. At least, this is what Shura believes. As soon as the two returned, it doesn't seem like Leo was all for talking anymore. Somehow, he's grown silent. While they did share their takoyaki, the green guardian character is eating like a madman. "Oh dear. If you keep this up, I might have to get another one." Leo didn't really respond, but he continued to binge eat the takoyaki. Whatever it was that made him grew silent, is now making him think. But a machine also needs fuel right? That's when the takoyaki comes into play.

Vaii shrugged at his words. She didn't think Minji only did things for rewards - she'd never really thought that hard about it. Mostly she'd always just assumed Minji did things because she liked them. "I mean -" The red haired fairy poked her fingers together again. "I think she just likes to win cause it makes her feel good." Vaii hadn't been around all the time that Minji had to work extra hard to please her family...so she didn't really feel the need to talk about that at all. "I - that seems just about right." She nodded her head a little. That made sense to her at least. "Anyway! She's having fun so thats all that matters!" She wasn't sure that was the point of the conversation at all, but she didn't really mind.

"I - would any guardian character ever feel that way though?" She didn't think so - most people loved...or at least wanted to improve their humans lives. Sure Paii was a menace but Vaii knew that the pirate would do a lot of things for Minji. The guardian character let out a sad sigh at Leos next words - she knew that too...but thinking about the fact that they'd disappear still upset her. "Yeah, I get it. Well....everything would be better if everybody got along in the end." That would be way better - everything would great if it was like that.

Paii let out another cackle. "Oh my - I'm so grateful." She rolled her eyes and flashed over towards Vaii - tearing it in half as she moved. It was way easier that way. She shoved it at the other guardian character without much thought. "Here you go. I'll steal you some candy later." She rolled her eyes, she didn't really think that Vaii would appreciate her words. But she also knew that the other Guardian Character really, really liked candy. 

"What? No - you can't!" Her response was slow and but honestly she probably wasn't protesting hard enough. Candy...was her favorite thing after all and her sweet tooth basically trumped everything else. Candy mattered a lot to the red head. She would put aside her need to be a totally goodie two shoes if it meant sweet things. 
She was probably more than a little fickle in her views actually.

"I definitely have a lack of understanding as to why that is, but I will...How you say...'Roll with it'." Yes, he is starting to learn the wonderful world of human slang. It made him sound awkward, though. Like someone who tried too hard to be cool but just isn't. Well, would he even care about being cool or not? Probably not. "Winning just to feel good..." Well doesn't everyone feel that way? Winning makes you feel good, doesn't it? How strange to think otherwise. People want to win, and they would never want to try to lose. But then again, the system of rewards IS a very strange one.

"I don't know about you, but I think the X-guardians might try to hurt their human. I don't know much. But I think that's the case." It's the only one he knows that could actually harm people. He wouldn't know of others that would actually do that, not while they're still pure, that is. Yes. Not even the foul mouthed pirate among them. "If only it's easier to get along." He sighed. Even though he's talking big about getting along and all that fun stuff, he still gets into unnecessary fights from time to time.

"I'm glad you're grateful, darling." Shura snickered as Paii gets increasingly sarcastic with him. Yes, this is the fun stuff. Seeing Leo scarf down the takoyaki while he tries to think only further amused him. "Do you want me to get you some more?" He asked Leo, with a seemingly innocent smile, to which the other gave him a look to literally 'piss off'. Shura chuckled, and overhearing Vaii's hesitant words to decline the offer from Paii. "Sometimes it's good to give into temptation. You can always face the consequences later." What was that about being the shoulder angel? Oh yeah, that's right. Sometimes it's total bullshit.

[Minji]

Vaii let out a giggle at his words - she hadn't been around quite long enough to realize just how awkward he sounded. Not that it would have mattered to her if she did. Awkward wasn't something that Vaii could understand. If she knew what it meant she'd have realised that she was awkward like...most of the time. "Most people are like that aren't they?" Her attention was drifting now - even more so that Paii was back. 

"I don't think they want to hurt them..." She let out a huff. She wasn't sure her next words would make sense - but she said them anyway. "Like - they're just doing what we do. They're protecting their human in the only way they know. Cause they couldn't be born they're just...trying to do their best to stop anymore hurt." Or at least. That was how Vaii thought of it. Nobody was all bad after all. Even if they did things for bad reasons, there might always be something good behind it somewhere. "I mean...even Paii tried to lock Minji in a sensory deprivation tank before - as a joke. But she was also trying to help." She hesitated for a moment before nodding - wa...was that a good thing? 

"Paii!" Her eyes flashed back to the other Guardian Character. "I mean..." She floated a little closer to the other and in a whisper said. "So long as nobody gets in trouble-"

Paii couldn't stop the cackle that left her - trouble? Her? Okay - well she caused lots of trouble yes, and she made a lot of problems for others too, but she rarely got into any kind of trouble herself. "Whatever. I've never been caught yet." Which in itself was a miracle honestly. She'd stolen a lot of stuff and she was more than sure that it was only ever really Minji who had caught on that it had been her doing it. "Anyway - what he said." She waved vaguely in Shuras direction. He wasn't wrong, sure Vaii was probably the most innocent of the two of them, but she knew the other had a certain weakness for sweet things. It wouldn't have surprised her if Vaii went and stole stuff for herself.

"Sensory Deprivation Tank? How is that a good thing??" Leo couldn't believe what he heard. "Look, they said the thing has some beneficial health effects but NONE have been proven. That could have been dangerous." Even if he did at times, try to hurt Shun to teach him a lesson, he won't always be so ready to put him in immense danger or an unstable and unproven condition. "I would have tried to stop Shura if he did something potentially dangerous myself." He eyed the other guardian character as he just continued to eat the takoyaki.

"It isn't trouble when you never get caught." Shura said with a laugh. "Kind of like lies and cheats. It isn't such when you're not caught." He tapped his chin in thought. "Or at least that was what I was told. Feel free to give in to the temptation of life. As long as you can handle the consequences of your actions." Embrace chaos, but make it embrace you back. Something like that. He should really think of more deep things to say. "Then I shall try to keep the pirate from drowning." He wanted to get more things anyway. "Shall we head out again?"

[Minji]

"She did it as a prank." Vaii deadpanned slightly - shooting the pirate a look that clearly showed just how impressed she was by the others action. Paii only responded by grinning and nodding her head.

"What a fun prank...she didn't get in it though...somebody told her what it was before she could be tricked." She pirate shook her head - a little annoyed. It had been twitter that had saved her that april fools day. "I was only trying to get her to face her fear -"

The pirate was cut off by Vaii as she shoved the remainder of her takoyaki into her mouth, shutting her up and stopping her from revealing something about Minji that barely anybody knew about. "If I'd been around when it happened, I would have stopped it." Or at least...she would have tried to. She was sure at the time she wouldn't have known what it was either and would have thought Paii was actually being helpful.

"I think...lies and cheating are still lying and cheating. No matter if your found out of not." Vaii rolled her eyes. "Trouble in a consequence, not an action!" Not that she was saying any of that was good - but she still felt the need to correct him. She could be a little dim, yes, but she wasn't that stupid at least.

The pirate waved a hand in the redheads face - clearly dismissing her words. "Nobody cares." She rolled her eyes back at Vaii and moved away again. "But yeah, lets set sail. I don't think this little saint can be even more corrupted, but I'll try!" She was already off - heading back towards the stalls without waiting for Shura.
