There was a knock at the door. The Fujiwara's family door to be exact. A older women who resided inside was reading something or other, putting her book aside she headed toward the door. " I'm coming, I'm coming- Honestly Ando-San, I don't need anymore-"
The last thing Fujiwara Hitomi expected at her door was her youngest son. Not that she didn't love seeing him, no that wasnt it. It was the fact it was so unexpected and sudden, and that he ran the risk of running into his own father. A father, who didn't care about him whatsoever. An used every chance to knock the boy down no matter how strong he stood. Her son must have luck on his side today. His father was out of town for something. Though Hitomi was sure he told her, she didn't care to remember. Looking over her son he seemed. So much more, alive. Was that strange? He seemed so much more full of light- No, happiness, that's the word. Standing in the doorway looking over him, she smiled lovingly at him.
" My little hero returns." She pulled her son into a hug.
Daichi stood there and smiled, before he was pulled into a hug. Though the boy seemed tense. He wasn't sure if he should even be here or not. "Hi, Mom." He spoke softly. Pulling away he asked. " Hey can we, go downtown or something?" His house wasn't his favorite place. Nor was it his mothers.
As if she would ever say no to her son. Carefully reaching over, she tucked hair behind his ear. " Of course. Sweetheart. I don't like being in this boring old house anyways." She kissed him on the cheek and went to go grab her things.
" You know thats not really surprising." Mrs.Fujiwara chuckled, caring a small bag of fudge from a shop in front of her. " You did love to fight Hiko with those cardboard swords you made. Playing around in Kendo sure sounds like something you would do- Archery was a surprise though!" Today was just full of surprises. Daichi had been telling her all about his adventures at school. (Well the ones he could share that is.) Her son was in- Well he wasnt really in them, but he 'trained' with them. For fun or whatever reason he had yet to share. " These friends of your's, what are they like?"
" There- I like them, I'm happy with them. You know? They are really good people." The boy smiled sincerely. Which made her smile just as bright. He was in sports! He had friends! He was happy, that was, so nice. Thank god.
Daichi meanwhile had been on and off texting Junko. Turns out, she was also out in downtown area with her old man. The boy got his mother to stop in front of the near by shop. Texting trying to get the two- Or four of them together. " Sorry Mom, My friend Junko is around here and-"
Her eyes seemed to light up. Leaning forward and trying to red her son's phone, though he didn't seem to mind. " Are we meeting her!- Or um, them? Ill wait as long as you need, if were meeting. Oo! I'm excited now. I can't wait! I mean I can wait-"
Daichi laughed. "Mommm-"
" Sorry! You know how I am." She chuckled along with him.
[ We're in front of a shoe shop down from the huge pet shop, I think you know it?]
