[AQ] When you leave them alone [Paii/Calli]

Paii rolled her eyes hard. Sure enough Paii had only really found out through flipping through magazines that Minjis mom had left around and movies, but she'd been sure that Calli would have at least had an inkling to as to why humans might act the way they did about their food and bodies. Really, she had no idea how the other Guardian Character had gotten this far without realizing anything about it. Although...all things considered Paii didn't really know why they did it all that much either, it was about trying to 'win' or something she was pretty sure. The pirate made a sound and shrugged her shoulders. Calli obviously cared now, but Paii really didn't. "Ask Yasuko. I'm sure she'll know the answer." She was with Faberge right? They probably had to deal with this kind of thing all the time with their talent, so somebody who went there often would probably know some stuff. 

Paii managed to turn her head a little - a clear glare on her face at the others answer. Answers like that were the worst kind. They had no clear direction at all from those kind of words. She wished Calli would answer her with a definite answer. "Arr don't think we have enough time for everything." She barely tried to keep the annoyance from her voice, she just really needed something more clear from the other Guardian Character. 

The pirate actually pouted this time - she didn't need to be laughed at for something totally natural! If she could have flipped her hair in an annoyed manner she really would have but as it was because they were having to support the plate, so she really couldn't give as much attitude about it as she really wanted. Which was disappointing, but the pirate would just have to deal with it. 
"Calli, only a few things, okay?" She zeroed in on the pork cutlets. Okay - they could go for those, but maybe forgo the curry. Considering they were just carrying the plate around on their heads, something like that would slip off way too easily. Paii really didn't think that noodles would be great either...but she supposed they could try it out. If it slipped off, so be it. "I...we can only carry so much. But the meat...and the noodles should be easy enough?"

Calli blinked at the pirate's words, and she tilted her head in confusion when the other rolled her eyes. Did she say something wrong? Why did Paii react that way? She would have followed on her line of thought - and actually asked the pirate why she had responded to her that way - but she had gotten distracted instead by Paii's suggestion. "Oh!" she suddenly exclaimed before her eyes grew wide and bright. Ask Yasuko! Of course, why didn't she think of that?! "Okay! I'll do that then!" she said, grinning.

The brunette fairy blinked at the other's words, before she suddenly perked her head back up again as if in realisation. Oh right, they didn't have time for everything do they? Neither do they have the stomach for everything! But but, that meant that she couldn't taste it all...! "I-I guess," was all she said in the end, a dejected tone in her voice.

Calli blinked at the pirate's pout - and she couldn't help the giggle that came out of her mouth. She hadn't seen Paii pouted so obviously like that before! It was kind of funny! And also kind of adorable, but she didn't want to say that; Paii didn't seem the kind of person that would take kindly to that. "Okay!" she chimed brightly, letting the other choose what food they should be taking. "Meat and noodles sound good!!" she said in agreement, her eyes shining at the prospects of lunch. She waited for the other to lead, waiting for the other's orders to take up the food onto the plate. "What next, Paii? Do we eat now?"

Paii would not say she felt bad out loud - but she definitely felt bad at Callis tone of voice. She let out a small huff. "We can try more another day though." Which would imply that they would have another adventure - which was actually something that Paii would like to do. Calli might have been a little...clumsy at some points but she'd also been a pretty good partner and awfully helpful sometimes too - like now, with carrying the plate. 

Paii only pouted harder because of the giggle - she knew exactly what it was about! And she did not appreciate it, but with the plate blanced she didn't feel like she could say anything else at all. It was mildly annoying, but...she supposed it didn't matter all that much - food was so close by! And her stomach was about to eat itself if nothing got into it sometime very, very soon. The food wouldn't be too hard to get up onto the plate - or rather down, considering they'd have to set it down and pick it up both times.

Paii - after collecting their small amount let out a small huff. All that work and now she was even more hungry. "Lets go - over to that table."She gestured with her chin over to a tiny table in a corner that nobody was sat at. She was just hoping nobody would just see an empty table with a bowl of food...and take the food away because they thought it was done. It would break her poor pirate heart. "Then we can eat!"

Calli easily followed Paii's orders, grabbing food and plopping them onto the plate whenever asked. She lifted - with much difficulty now, as it was getting heavier - the plate onto her head, in time with the other. As it filled up with food, she nodded at the pirate's words with a smile. "Okay!" she said, before following after the other, doing her best to make sure that the plate was balanced and didn't fall off.

As they set it down on the empty table - as carefully as Calli could do it anyway, she was sometimes a little too clumsy - and the moment it clanked against the table, the brunette fairy sank onto the table. "Phew!" she said, sitting onto the table with a sigh. That was a bit of a workout! She soon turned to beam back at the pirate. "Do you wanna eat now?" she asked as she clambered back towards the plate. She wanted to eat everything...! But wait, what did Paii wanted to eat? She must have first pick, right? "Paii which one you wanna eat?"

The pirate was just as glad that the whole thing was over. She didn't think they'd be able to carry the damn plate back no matter how hard they might try to. So once they were done they'd just have to leave it on the table. She sat down beside the plate - and waved away Callis question. "Meat first." She took another second to herself before she shot a look around the table - taking note of the fact that they hadn't brought any chopsticks with them. 

She huffed. They had their swords right? Those could work considering they didn't even have that much food. Considering they'd already eaten dirty berries and cut them off with said swords - well Paii didn't think it would matter all that much. But she turned her eyes to Calli. Her weapon would be even better for this considering it would be good for stabbing.

"Do yar want to use chopsticks or just -" She pulled out her own sword to make it clear what she meant - she'd already talked so much today - it was just ridiculous. 

Either way - the food smelt wonderful to the very hungry pirate and she was not embaressed to admit she might have already been drooling! She just needed to know now if Calli would be okay with just stabbing food - it wasn't like they'd really be able to use the chopsticks if they were really long anyway.

Calli beamed at the other's answer. For some reason, the way the pirate immediately said "Meat first" made her want to giggle. It sounded like a pirate-thing to do! Or at least in her head, where everything was stereotypical and had odd pieces of information about anything. "Okay!" she chimed in agreement, pumping a hand into the air in excitement.

But she blinked a little at the pirate's words, tilting her head at first in confusion. What did Paii mean? She stared at the sword for a while - before realisation dawned upon her face. Oh! "Yes!" she cried eagerly, drawing out her pin from her makeshift sheath. "Let's do that!! Let's just do that!!" she said excitedly, waving her pin weapon around without a care in the world. The whole idea sounded so fun!!

The moment Paii gave the go-ahead, she quickly stabbed into one of the pork cutlets - and the moment she lifted it up, her eyes grew wide and sparkling. "Paii Paii!!" she cried, pointing at the meat hanging off of her pin. The way it stayed just at the edge of the sharp end of the pin, the egg dripping from it and everything...ahhhhhhhh!!!! "Look at that!! It's stuck on the pin-thing!! Ahhh this is wayyy cool!!" Her eyes were sparkling as she admired the food on her pin-weapon, and she didn't even seem like she wanted to eat it at all.

Paii let out a small snort of laughter as Calli speared her first bit of food - stabbing a piece for herself a moment later. She was so hungry - and she shoved it into her mouth without pause and took another piece without waiting for Calli. That was so much better even with just such a small amount of food. Paii was glad with what she had picked. It was great. 
Although when her eyes moved back up to Calli she just stopped, blinking a little. What exactly was she doing? She wasn't sure that Calli was all there. "Calli. Arr understand you're amazed with your weapon..." She trailed off a little - watching the others food for a long second. She was really still pretty hungry. "But aren't you like hungry?" 

Honestly - she really wondered why the other hadn't just started eating the moment that she could. It didn't make any kind of sense considering how long they'd taken actually finding food and considering just how hungry they had been a moment ago as well. 

Paii turned her head to the side, watching Calli for another moment before she continued to eat some of the pork cutlet that they had as she waited for the other to actually eat what she had on her pin-sword. Honestly - she wanted to try the noddles as well but she'd have to wait.

Calli was only staring at her makeshift weapon with sparkles in her eyes, admiring the way the pork cutlet was hanging off of the pin. But at the sound of Paii's voice, she finally snapped out of it, turning her head to look at the pirate with blinking eyes. "Hungry?" she asked quizzingly - until at that point a grumbling noise erupted from her own stomach; and she clutched at her abdomen immediately. Oh man, that was embarrassing. She must have forgotten how hungry she was. How long had she been admiring the pork cutlet on top of her pin weapon? "Whoops - excuse me," she said with a sheepish smile, before she finally lowered the pork cutlet to her mouth. And took a great bite off of it. Oh man it was so good. The coat of batter was crunchy and the pork wasn't dry. Or so to her palate; Calli wasn't great with food. "Paiiiiiiiiii!!!" she said, her eyes shining once more. "It's so good! So so good!!! Right?? Right??" She immediately took another bite, relishing in its taste.

Biting into the last of her pork cutlet, she made a muffled squeal of satisfaction, before she turned back towards Paii. It seemed she hadn't noticed at all that the other had been waiting for her to eat her cutlet up. "What next Paii, what next?" she asked. Peering over the plate, she spotted the noodles. "Oooh look at that!! Do we stab that? Paii show me, show me!!" she immediately said, her eyes shining. The pirate knew what to do right? After all, it was her who said to stab into the pork cutlet with their weapons!

The pirate almost rolled her eyes again - but managed to hold the action back. Calli was just so ...Calli. Paii really had no other words for the other Guardian Character. Which was fine, only she really needed to know what she meant by that. She watched as the other ate her pork cutlet - paying a little more attention as she seemed to near the end. "Yeah - it's really good." And it was - she'd just been too hungry to really care about how it had tasted while she'd actually been eating it herself. 

At Callis next words she had her attention turning back to the noodles. She...actually had no idea how they were going to be able to eat this well at all. Her sword at least was probably a little to thick to actually pick at the noodles without splitting them and not getting them off the plate at all. She frowned a little at the food annoyed that she couldn't think of a way to eat. 
She let her eyes flicker over to Calli. Maybe her needle would work though? Or would it be too bendy for it to actually hold the weight of the noodle? "My sword might be too thick...try with yours first." She indicated that the other should move towards the food - if it was Callis sword she should be the one to try it out first right? 

She really wasn't sure it would work out in the end though. They'd have to wait and see. 

[Yasuko Kobayashi]

She blinked at the other with a smile, waiting for an answer to her question as she chewed. But at the pirate's suggestion, she paused for a moment, before she swallowed her food quickly. "Oh," were her words at first, and she peered over the plate to stare at the long thick strands of noodles. "Okay!!!" she said with a beaming smile - before realising she still had half of a pork cutlet on her pin sword. "Wait a moment," she said, and she quickly stuffed the last of the meat into her mouth. After some (very) vigorous chewing and another quick swallow, her makeshift weapon was ready for another stabbing. She stood up and walked to the edge of the plate, pulling the needle up high as if she was going to spear them through. "Here we go--!!"

She stabbed the noodle with as much force as she could muster - and the moment it speared through, her eyes went wide. And sparkled in amazement. "Oh my gosh, look at that!!!" she immediately said, staring at the silver needle stuck into the noodle as if it was the most wondrous thing in the world. Oh wait, she should be picking up; she should see if it would stay!!! "Imma gonna take it up!!" she quipped, before pulling it up as fast as she could--

--Only for the noodle to slip back down, pulled by the weight of the long strand.

For a second, she blinked. Before a sad look came over her face. "Oh no!" she said, and she leaned back over the plate to stare at the noodle in a seemingly mortified manner. "It didn't stay!! It didn't stay on the pin thing!!!" she said, turning over to Paii with a woeful expression on her face. What should they do now? "Oh oh!!!" Calli immediately said, turning back towards Paii with sparkles in her eyes. She had the most brilliant idea!! "Why don't we cut it smaller??" she said, her eyes sparkling at the idea. "Maybe it might help or something!!!!"

[Minji]

The pirate let out a snort of laughter as the noodle just slipped off. It was a pity it didn't work obviously, but just watching the noodle pull down on the pin and fall off. It was just - an amusing thing to watch. The changing expression of Callis face was a little funny as well. They'd figure it ou-

Oh! Paii hadn't even thought of that. "Good idea!" She nodded her head a couple of times fast. It was a very good idea and she really, really thought she'd thought of it first. She shook her sword slightly and wiped in on her skirt just cleaning it slightly before she'd move to slice through the noodles.

She supposed that yes if they were smaller they could be easily speared and wouldn't like...split and fall off of their weapons. It wasn't exactly the best thing for noodles, they'd have to be really careful while eating it actually.
Her sword sliced through the noodles - she knew the needle wouldn't actually be able to cut through them. It probably didn't exactly look the best, now that they were in little almost tiny pieces but now they should actually be able to eat them. She speared some of the cut up noodles - a few pieces at a time was probably better.

She lifted her sword and brought it closer to her face and nibbled at the edge of the noodles and let out a low hum. Oh - yeah, these were really good too! She was glad they'd made their way all the way over to the cafeteria.

Calli beamed back at Paii when she gave her praise, and she couldn't help but giggle a little at it. To hear her say that made her feel stupidly proud of herself - and she watched eagerly as the pirate immediately used her sword to cut the long strands of noodles into smaller pieces, clapping her hands in glee as the other did so. "Look at that!!" she quipped, leaning over the plate to look at all of the cut-up noodles with sparkling eyes. It would make it easier to eat now!!

She blinked when the other quickly speared through the smaller pieces of noodles - and not just one, but two no three-- oh who cares, it was several at once!! Her eyes shone with excitement and awe, and she clapped vigorously, laughing as she watched her do it. "That was so cool!!" she said, admiring the whole row of small pieces of noodle stuck onto the pirate's sword. They were like food on barbecue sticks! Or something like that!

"Did it taste good?" she asked eagerly. Before she realised that she should actually taste it herself as well. "Oh I should get some for myself too!!" she said, turning towards the plate with her pin sword. With her tongue sticking out of her mouth, she lifted it high - and speared one piece of noodle. And sat back down onto the table with it - admiring the way it stayed stuck on top of the pin for a short moment - and bit into it. "Oh!! It's good!!!" she chimed, grinning back at the pirate.

Paii tilted her head slightly before she continued to eat the noodles she had impaled on her sword. Ah - that was so, so much better. She let out another loud hum in response to Callis question. "It's really good!" Even after just that amount of food she felt full and ready to set out on another adventure - or just to sleep...she wasn't quite sure. Both were practically the same thing to the pirate considering she could just do anything she wanted while sleeping.

Either way the pirate found herself slumping down on the table - patting her stomach slightly before proclaiming. "The hole has been filled!" But she turned her attention back to Calli as she spoke - preening a little at the others words. She knew she was cool - and she had been told often but it didn't change the fact she still liked to be called cool too. 

The pirate tucked her sword away for a moment before giving the other Guardian Character a thumbs up. They had worked very hard and had been rewarded with a super good meal. Certainly better than what Minji would have provided for her instead. Normal food was way better than spicy food! For sure!

Calli slowly chewed on the noodles one small bite at a time, squealing as she tasted them. It was so good! Too bad she couldn't eat much, what with being a small little fairy and all, but at least she got to try foods other than bread! She still didn't understand why Yasuko only ever ate bread, all of these other things looked and tasted so good! She ate slower than the pirate, but eventually she too got to the last portion of her noodle.

She couldn't help but laugh when the other proclaimed she was full, sparkles in her eyes as she took in the pirate slang. Oh but that meant that Paii had to wait for her! That wouldn't do! So she quickly shoved the last of her noodle down and - after coughing on them - managed to shallow it all. "I'm done too!!" she chimed, smiling bright at the other.

But now that her tummy was full, Calli was already feeling a little sleepy. The cafeteria was beginning to empty out too, so the noise was slowly dying down. She gave an involuntary yawn. "O-oh sorry Paii," she said, before she gave another yawn. She slept in so late, surely that must have meant she had good sleep right? Why was she so sleepy now? "I just feel like sleeping now. But I can totally go on another adventure with you too!!" she quickly said, trying to wake herself up. Yet, she certainly didn't sound as energetic as before.

[Minji]

The tiny pirate wiped her sword on her skirt - wiping away any food that had been left behind on it before she shoved it away into its sheath. She was kind of content to just not move after that - but then Calli spoke and she found herself tilting her head - she kind of was okay not going on an actual adventure. "No, sleep sounds good." Although they should really get back to their eggs if they were going to take a nap. There was no telling who would be around if they just went to sleep randomly on a table.

Paii wiggled her fingers a little - not sure if she felt like she could actually move at all. She was becoming lethargic. They should move before they couldn't anymore. "Come on. Lets move." She stomped her foot a little - they really really needed to move on.

"It's fine - lets go." She bounced a little - trying to conjure some kind of energy. She shook herself a little more before her attention moved back to Calli. "Back to the dorm and we can nap." Considering Calli had overslept she was a little surprised that she even needed more sleep. But the pirate supposed that the other Guardian Character didn't usually go on adventures like she did so it probably had something to do with that.

If they were both tired then there was just no point int forcing themselves to continue.
