It wouldn't be much of a surprise to him to suddenly receive her message. It was almost standard at this rate.
She looked down at the phone in her hands, the bags under her eyes protruding from the lack of sleep she'd been having mixed with the swollen eyes from fits of crying she wished she could've fought off. It'd been a rough few days. She'd still been attending classes in hopes they could dull the pain, taking her mind off what had happened but her mind eventually wandered back. The mixed emotions that stirred around in her chest, the pain and rejection she was all too familiar with as it continuously arose again and again.
His appearance at the school only made it harder to forget.
That twisted smile on his face as he'd throw her feelings back at her with a disgusted look on his face. He'd let her admire from a far only to have it come crashing down on her at the end of the day. Those times they'd practiced together, the times she'd found him at lunch and they'd laugh together. They were all lies and he'd tossed her away at a moment's notice.
She...couldn't believe she'd done the same.
The moment replayed over and over again as she rubbed her cheek, the bridge of her nose aching vaguely as yet another reminder. She'd been tossed aside once again by someone she'd thought had been so special. A realization slowly dawning on her the longer she let it all plague her. She really was just rinsing and repeating.... Yosuke had been right. She was pretty gross in the end.
Those times the two of them actually got along before they'd begin to bicker. It was almost a routine at the rate those two girls went at but no matter what....they'd eventually made up. They'd always make up...and this time, they'd promised it'd be the last. That was a lie too wasn't it....There was no happy end to this chapter. Was there really a happy ending to any of theirs?
The longer she sat there, staring at the phone in her lap the longer her thoughts twisted and terrorized her before she finally unlocked the screen.
