The Heart’s Egg 

+ Description: There’s a book on campus about all this egg business… it’d help you out a lot if you could find it to learn about everything. It might be in the library, or left in a common room; someone else might be looking for it though, or maybe you could look for it with a friend--maybe a friend even already knows about it and its whereabouts!

Once again the time had come! So many new students were appearing, whether it be brand new students or those who happened to be transferring in. The second year student was always eager to meet and great the new faces, gathering as many acquaintances as she could. Especially since the school seemed to attract the attention of many people who held something 'special'. 

The school seemed to be a gathering place for those whose Heart's Egg had awakened, appearing before the holder as a sign the time had come. Whatever that "time" was, it was still unclear even for her. But she liked trying her best to assist new egg holders as best she could. They always had so many questions and she was more than happy to answer them. As best she could anyway.... 

She didn't want to spoil too much for them.

She'd found it was most exciting to learn about one's Heart Egg when it finally hatched. That was when the real fun began. But for the time being she didn't have anyone to pester or 'guide', she was more on the look out. Casually wandering around outside the school's campus with her Guardian Chara for the ever convenient chance she might run into someone who needed some assistance. 

It happened more than you would think.

When she first got her egg, she was confused by it. It hadn't moved too much, but it had always felt warm when she held it in her hands... a kind of comforting feeling, truth be told. She had scoured the library for this so called "book about eggs" that she had heard about and still came up empty handed. She had noticed here and there, little "people" flying around near some people, but, she's not really had the nerve to actually ask about any of their eggs or little friends. She was so used to keeping to herself... plus, what if what they told her wasn't even right? No, she wanted to look for the information herself, which is what lead her to the library in the first place.

Unfortunately, she came up empty handed, as mentioned previously. She sighed softly, heading out of the library, holding her egg carefully in her hands. "At some point you're going to hatch, and I'm pretty sure it'll be into one of those little people... so who will you be?" She murmured softly to the egg, as if it could hear her. Lifting a finger, she tapped her nail on the top of the egg, the black part. Idly she wondered what would happen if the egg dropped and cracked... but she pushed those thoughts away. She had grown attached to the warm little egg, even if it hadn't moved or said anything since she got it. It had become her kind of... lucky charm in a way. So she'd given special care not to drop it or anything and had been keeping it in her school bag. Hopefully it remained in tact until it hatched. Hopefully it hatched soon.

Until then, she wanted to find out more about this egg... and why it ended up in her possession in the first place. She's hoping this book will shed some light for her! Seeing someone up ahead, she noticed something small flying around the girl. Demi blinked, then headed that way. Maybe she knew where the book was... maybe she should ask? She headed over, then lifted a hand in greeting, her egg in her other hand. "Excuse me- do you happen to know about a book regarding eggs?" She swore silently that if the girl suggested a cook book she would turn right around and head right the fuck away because that was not okay.
