The News Room

It was by complete chance that Kazuki had managed to come across the storage room of the library.  He'd been hard at work recopying his notes when he realized there was the smallest of gaps in two tiny pieces of information.  Being such a great student even a minor error such as that was unacceptable and he quickly went off to look for the course's textbook.  It was an old edition, a version the teacher favored for whatever reason he insisted on using it.  Kazuki had managed to snag a copy online but they were a rare occurrence.  After searching almost all of the reference bookcases he turned to the librarian.  As it turned out, they had only one copy of the blasted book and it was located in their storage room.

Kazuki thanked the older woman when she handed him the key, directing him towards the back of the library.  It was there that he found the entrance to the tiny room.  The door opened with ease and he stepped inside, coughing a bit as dust flew into the air.  He scanned the various storage shelves for anything that looked close to the cover of this elusive book.  There were a few brooms sitting around, unused from the looks of it but a good way to reach the higher shelves.  Managing to not flatten himself while he pulled down one of the higher boxes he grinned as he found the book he was looking for.  He almost left the room without another glance, but as the sun began to set and the light shined through the crack in the door a small glint caught his eye.  Behind these masses of shelves and boxes was none other than a tiny lever.

Kazuki stared at it the suspicious object, looking this way and that before putting all his might into pulling it.  It stuck at first, finally falling once he put his entire weight on it.  It was probably nothing important, but knowing this school it might be another key to the mysterious eggs and the strange factions based in the academy.  Kazuki would do anything to figure out the truth, even if it meant breaking a few rules.

A bit of efforted but he'd manage it, opening up an area that hadn't seen real visitors for perhaps years if not decades.

The lever opened up to a narrow hallow, slowly extending outwards towards yet another door. The hall was mildly cloaked in darkness, a muggy dusty air hung in the hall as if to hint to its age even more. With a few cobwebs accenting it, it most definitely did not seem the most welcoming but the door at the end could not help but peek interest.

What would be behind this door?

It hung there at the end of the hallway, slightly ajar, though no light shone out of it. It almost seemed to call out, the slight open space between the door and the doorway almost daring him to enter.
