Yasuko breathed in the fresh air. 

She hadn't been to the park before. Really the only places she ever go out to were Downtown where the shops were, and the Faberge building after school. Most times, she would rather stay at the dorms, or at school, using all of her time on boring stuff homework, assignments, writing exercises and any extra workload from Faberge. Time should be used productively after all. But recently, she had been stuck inside buildings more often than not - especially at school. The last few weeks had been terrible; she got stuck in school not once, but thrice because of thunderstorms, and there were the two X-egg related incidents in the library. Not to mention that she had been stayed cooped up at the dorms because of the aftermath.

After a while, you just want a change of scenery.

"The park's so pretty!" A tiny voice called out. The first-year snapped out of her thoughts, turning her head to look up at the Guardian Character floating above her. Calli was admiring the place, taking in every single detail - where the trees were, how the bushes all lined up, the pattern of the sidewalks, the lightpoles dotting the area, the pristine lake in the middle of it all - it all felt magical. A slight wind picked up, rustling the leaves and loosening both leaves and flowers. The small sprite stretched her hands out - catching a large flower in her tiny hands. It was almost as big as her! "Look Yasuko look!" Calli cried, turning around to show the first-year the flower she caught. It was just a while simple flower, but Calli found everything interesting, no matter how commonplace they might be.

Normally Yasuko would roll her eyes at the Guardian Character's behaviour, sighing at her constant ability to be fascinated by the most mundane things. But the park was quiet today; there were few people around, and the ones that were had seemed to decide to enjoy nature's beauty on its own. Perhaps it was that tranquility that had a calming effect on her. Perhaps also it had something to do with having a productive session at Faberge on a schoolday. Either way, Yasuko found it hard to get angry at her, instead just raising an eyebrow and giving a half-amused smile. 

Calli gave a large grin as she twirled around with the large flower in her hands, giggling madly. This was so fun! 


Kiyoka

"Go higher, Kiyoka! Higher!" A small yet very loud voice shouted,

The playground was deserted except for a lone girl on the swingset, soaring higher and higher with each pump of her legs. Clinging to a shoulder was a small fairy-like creature, but no one would be able to see her except for others accompanied by them like herself. Kiyoka had the day to herself, as her little sister Yue had supplementary lessons, and she was grateful for it. It wasn't often she could be free like this--until she had to pick Yue up, but that wouldn't be for a good while.

"Faster!!" Misa, the little guardian chara yelled, her giggles mingling with Kiyoka's laughter. Ever since her egg hatched, everything had been a whirlwind of crazy emotions and unexplainable feats, and it was all just crazy at times. But she appreciated the little chara, who was much like herself in many ways. Where they weren't similar, it was very noticeable. The need for speed was one of the things they had in common, and they were definitely going to enjoy the swing to the fullest.

They were going high enough that the swing would be suspended in mid-air just for a brief moment, before gravity took its course and brought them back down. It wasn't like going full speed on her bike which seemed faster to her, but the thrill of being up in the air and her stomach doing a little flip-flop was exciting, and Misa's enthusiasm egged her on.

"You want higher? I'm not gonna be stopped!" Kiyoka told her over the wind whistling in her ears, and Misa shrieked in delight.

The sounds of the giggling and yelling caught Yasuko's attention, breaking her out of the calm state she was in to turn and stare at the direction of the playground. She frowned slightly, a little annoyed that her quiet moment had been broken by others. Then again, it was a playground so obviously people were going to play on the swings and all the other equipment. She sighed. Should she just go back to the dorms? But she hadn't been here long. She let out another breath, one in an attempt to relax herself. Maybe she would stay a little while longer. After all, nobody could keep playing on the playground for that long.

But Calli was fascinated. Turning to the direction of the playground, she caught sight of a girl swinging and laughing, her eyes growing bigger in wonder as she saw her do that. It looked way fun! And the girl was having so much fun too! Ahhhh she wanted to try it too! But there was something smaller next to the girl on the swing too, making the Guardian Character squint as if to try to help her vision. They were far away though so Calli couldn't quite make it what exactly it was. And something about that tiny thing gave her a nagging feeling. A pull of sorts. Similar to when their Egg-sense was working and picking out Guardian Characters and Guardian Eggs.

...Wait.

"Yasuko! I think she has a Guardian Character!"

"What...?" The first-year looked up at the small sprite, a raised eyebrow as if in question. After everything had happened, she was more neutral to eggs and Guardian Characters now, and - although there were certainly sprites that she would rather not be in the same vicinity with - she was slowly accepting their existence. But Calli was a little different; the sparkles in her eyes already told the first-year what the sprite's next few words will be.

"We should go and meet them!" Her blue eyes were sparkling and she had a huge excited grin on her face. Another Guardian Character! What kind would they be? What kind of personality would they have? And - not to mention the girl who made the wish! What kind of person was the girl? If the excited shouting and giggling were anything to come by, the girl sounded like someone who have a lot of energy! She wanted to get to know them!

Yasuko sighed. She knew it. But she simply didn't share the same enthusiasm that her Guardian Character did and really she just wanted to stay right there and enjoy the beauty of nature for a while longer. Calli was giving her such an excited look - and as the first-year sighed, her face slowly changed to have more of a pleading look. "Please Yasuko! You said we were going to be Egg experts with Miuna! And that means we gotta know all the other Guardian Characters!" One has to wonder however if Calli really took that seriously, or that she was using it as an excuse to find out more about other people.

"Calli, are you even sure she has a Guardian Character?"

There was a pause. Technically it did feel like a pull of an Egg-sense - one that apparently Yasuko wasn't used to it yet - but Calli was sure! She wanted to be sure! "W-well..." The skeptical look the first-year gave her already told Calli that Yasuko didn't believe her. With a pout, the brown-haired fairy yelled back at her owner. At this rate, Yasuko won't be Character Egg experts like she wanted them to be! That was no good! "Well! I'll go find out then!"

"Wait, what-- Calli--!"

It was too late however, as the Guardian Character had already flown over as fast as she could, the flower still grasped between her two hands.

It felt good to let loose and behave like nothing in the world was going to stop her, and Kiyoka made up her mind. She knew what road she was going to take, and it was going to be the high and fast one. "I'm gonna let go! Get ready!"

Misa's shrieks and laughter were her only reply, and after a few more dangerously high swings, Kiyoka let of of her her grip on the chains. She soared through the air, nothing restraining her as the wind swept her hair back freely. She gazed up into the sky, bright blue with white clouds sprinkled through... like obstacles that she could barrel through and keep on going. It only lasted a few seconds, however, as whatever goes up it must come down, too.

She made impact with the ground, her feet first and landing in a crouched position. Turning to the little chara, she grinned and shot her a thumbs up. "Mission accomplished!" Misa's arms raised up, her hair a wild mess as she spun in victory.

"Woo-hoo!!!!!!" The chara whooped as Kiyoka reached out to her, smoothing her hair back down. "What a rush! Nothing could beat that! Except for a motorcycle-- Kiyoka, what's up?"

Kiyoka had opened her mouth to agree with her, but instead stopped, pressing a hand to her chest. What was that funny feeling? "Misa..." She couldn't put it to words. It wasn't painful or anything, but just plain weird. "It's just. I feel a something." Like that would help explain it, but Misa knew exactly what was up. She knew this wasn't the first time Kiyoka felt that, and now it was her time to show her the ropes.

"That's your eggy egg sense! It means a heart's egg or something is around here..." Misa scoped out the area, squinting, and then her eyes spotted the prize. "RIGHT THERE!" She zooms over at top speed to the approaching Calli, catching her in a headlock and giving her a goodnatured noogie. "Are you a spy? You didn't do too well if you were just flyin' out in the open for your target to see!" She laughed.

As she flew over to the playground, and the closer she got to the two entities on the swing, the bigger her eyes grew. There were sparkles in her eyes, as she began to become excited over the prospect of meeting new people. Who were they? Did they go to Seiyo too? Watching the girl do a final swing in the air made her gasp in excitement and a smile to be plastered on her face. That looked like so much fun! The girl looked like she had fun too! She wanted to do the same! To ask, to learn, to--

--Ack!

Completely engrossed by the idea of meeting these new people, she had noticed the other Guardian Character too late - and neither did she expect to get caught in a headlock either. Surprised and certainly caught off-guard, she impulsively began to flail about, dropping the flower in the process; until the other had started to give her a noogie. Whoaaaaa! Her eyes sparkled. She never got a noogie before! Soon the flails gave way to giggles, as she stared back at the other sprite with wide eyes. "Was that-was that a noogie?!" she asked, completely forgetting about the other fairy's claims of her being a spy. She gave the other a grin. "Do it again! Do it again!!"

Yasuko was still at her bench, staring at the direction of where Calli had went, completely unsure of what in the world she should do. Considering the fairy's impulsive behaviour, maybe it was best for her to learn things the hard way. After all, she wasn't responsible for Calli's actions! Right? Right?! There was what seemed to be the longest of pauses before the first-year huffed and grabbed her school bag in annoyance. Whatever the fairy had gotten herself into, Yasuko hoped it wasn't something that would cost them.

Kiyoka ran after Misa, stopping in her tracks when she noticed the other guardian character in her hold. Egg sense...right okay. Made enough sense, but it was still really weird. Why would she need to have a 6th sense related to eggs? Ever since Misa hatched, the flurry of crazy stuff started up again, and she was finally getting herself used to it. Oh well. She smiled at the charas interacting.

Misa laughed again, her voice loud and clear. "Yes, yes it was! A perfect execution of a noogie, if I do say so myself!" The newcomer was definitely interesting to say the least and Misa happily obliged, once again connecting her fist to Calli's head. "You asked for it!"

Stepping closer to the two guardian characters, Kiyoka spoke up. "Where's your person or whatever? You're not here alone, right?" Because that would kind of be an asshole move in Kiyoka's opinion, though she's not one to talk. She glanced around, scanning the playground and the rest of the park until she saw a girl. Was that her? She was looking in their direction after all. Kiyoka waved at her, and then called out, "Hey! You there! Is this one yours?!"

As the other Guardian Character noogie'd her head, Calli exploded into a flurry of giggles and laughs. It was a totally new experience! It was so fun! And the other fairy was so energetic too! Ahhhhhhhh! She gave the light-haired sprite a huge grin. "That was so much fun!!" Her eyes sparkled at Misa, as if begging the other silently. "Can you teach me how to noogie too?" She wanted to do all these fun things too!

But the question posed to Calli distracted her from it. "Person?" The brown-haired fairy repeated, tilting her head back at the girl below. Person...Person...Oh! Could she have meant Yasuko? She was about to happily point her out, until it seemed the girl had noticed who that person was. Following the girl's gaze, she grinned at the far-off first-year, waving a hand. "Yasukoooooooo! They're friendly!" With wide sparkling eyes, she pointed at Misa. "She gave me a noogie!" It was quite clear that Calli was extremely fascinated by it.

Yasuko nearly freaked when the girl called out at her. Quickly, she walked up towards the playground, schoolbag in tow, saying almost in a harsh whisper. "You!! Don't say that so loud!" She looked around her, just to make sure that there weren't any potential eavesdroppers. "You don't want people to think you're crazy, talking to thin air like that!"

Misa broke out into a smile and she puffed her chest proudly, slinging an arm over Calli's shoulders. "Sure I can show you! Now watch closely!" The lighter haired character began to demonstrate how to execute the most perfect noogie, clearly stating the step-by-step rules as well so that there was no room left for misinterpretation.

Kiyoka shrugged, not bothered by the girl's words as she made their way towards them. She already came to terms that the fact she was probably crazy, because the way she saw it, no average or ordinary person would have a magical easter egg appear right in front of them and then hatch into a miniature human/fairy thing that no one else could see. Might as well accept it now because by the look of it, the guardian characters were here to stay.

"So what? It doesn't really matter, there's almost nobody here anyway." Kiyoka told her. "Do you think someone is going to actually care about what you do?" The wording sounds harsh, but the second year didn't intend to come off as rude. She meant that most people don't really give others second thoughts unless it involves themselves so there wouldn't be any need to worry. However, Kiyoka didn't think she needed to say anymore than that.

With shining wide eyes, the Guardian Character let out a hearty "Yay!" at the other sprite, clearly happy that she could learn something new. The minute the lighter-haired fairy began her instructions, Calli's face morphed into one of intense concentration, nodding with great energy at every single step. Each time Misa demonstrated a step, Calli would soon follow suit, mimicking the other's movements as close as she could. "Like this?" the brown-haired sprite queried, her hands in the air doing her best to copy Misa.

Yasuko stopped at the girl's answer, blinking blankly. Well it was true that there was barely anyone around, being a weekday and all, so it was highly likely that no one could really see them talking to so-called 'thin air'. But her eyebrow twitched at the other girl's words, her hands immediately going onto her hips as if in a defiant manner. "W-well!" the first-year began. "You may never know who might be watching!" With a 'hmph!', the girl turned her gaze away, crossing her arms across her chest.

[Kiyoka]

Misa was encouraging, shooting the brown haired character a thumbs up after each attempt at a step. "Exactly! You got this! Trust yourself You're totally on the road to be a pro." She was very pleased that her new mentee took so well to the practice of noogie-ing. They graduate so quickly. She moved closer to Calli, cupping her hands over her ear to excitedly whisper. "You should try it on your girl!"

Goodness this girl was such a stickler. She really needed to loosen up a little, or at least Kiyoka thought so. She lightly socked the girl in the arm, grinning. "Someone needs to dislodge that stick up your ass." The words slipped off her tongue like silk, even if the phrase was more rocky than anything. Honestly she really didn't need to put it that way, but it's not the second year's way of communication. "I'm Ito. Ito Kiyoka."

Calli's eyes lit up at every encouragement, giggling at her fellow Guardian Character. She was so fun! And so positive! And energetic! This was great! Grinning from ear to ear, she waited excitedly to hear what the light-haired fairy would whisper to her - was it something fun? Something exciting? But her face fell slightly at the idea. It sounded like loads of fun! But...But Yasuko would probably not really like it so much. Should she do it? Her fellow Guardian Character seemed to think so though, and Calli didn't want to disappoint! But...BUT. A sigh escaped her lips. "I...I think if I did it, she would probably...probably not be happy." She gave a bit of a nervous laugh to the other fairy.

Completely ignoring the Guardian Characters interacting, Yasuko gave a confused "Huh?" at the other girl's actions. She lightly punched her in the arm - which was something Yasuko registered as something non-threatening - but her earlier words sounded incredibly biting and something which Yasuko had thought of as provocative. But those thoughts were erased entirely by the girl's next words; and the first-year bristled back at her. "What?" was Yasuko's indignant reply. That was rude! And not just rude but completely entirely inaccurate! No she was not a stickler! Even if she was concerned about something that ended up not being something she should worry about...but still!

But she got confused once more at the other's introduction. Wasn't she just trying to insult her just now? Why the introductions? She stared at the girl before her with suspicious eyes, scanning her from head to toe, not entirely sure if she wanted to give her name just yet.

[Kiyoka]

Misa turned to face Calli, placing her hands on the other guardian character's shoulders. "But you want to though, don't you?" If there was anything that Misa was all about, it was doing what you want to do, first and foremost...even if it meant being a little mischievous and aggravating. "You can do whatever you want! If it'll make you happy, then go for it! If the other person gets upset, then just apologize and be honest about it. You're not trying to make her mad! You just want her to have fun, too, right?" The lighter haired fairy totally saw the predicament Kiyoka was getting into, and if Calli followed through with her plan, it might help get her out of the pinch.

"Ito. Kiyoka," the second year girl repeatedly slowly, though she doesn't know how the girl hadn't heard her the first time. Why else would she say 'what?' for? It was just unfortunate circumstances that Kiyoka didn't yet realize the negative responses that her unintentional words provided-- she didn't see the harm in them. "You do go to Seiyo, don't you? What's your name? If you don't tell me now, I'll find out later~"

Calli looked back at Misa, giving the other wide eyes. That made sense! She should do things that made her happy right? Her eyes were shining, a bright smile on her face. That's right! She just wanted to have fun! And she wanted Yasuko to have fun too! Yet something nagged at the back of her mind; something that said it probably wasn't quite such a good idea. But she brushed it off. The first-year should loosen up once in a while! And maybe this would help her do so! Besides, her fellow Guardian Character said so; it shouldn't be that bad right? Especially with how positive and encouraging she had been!

Slowly, she floated off towards the first-year, staying out of sight as much as possible. Gotta wait for the right time...

Said first-year was eyeing the other with much caution; scanning her once again from head to toe. The girl notably jumped however, at the mention of Seiyo - she was just about to ask indignantly How the hell did you know?! - before realising that she still had her uniform on. But the girl's words - Kiyoka, was it? - made her even more suspicious. She leaned backwards instinctively, as if creeped out by the girl in front of her. "Why do you even want to--"

"Noogie!!!" Calli cried, her tiny hands immediately going onto the first-year's head, rubbing it intensely. She was a small fairy after all, and she didn't think a single hand would do the trick on such a large head; so instead she used both! The action caught Yasuko off-guard - and the girl stumbled backwards, her hands flailing about, completely bewildered by what was going on. "Wha--Wha--What?!" Who was that?! What was that?! Gahhhhhh!

Not to far off, something had found itself lost, aimlessly moving around the park ever so perplexed as to where it was going. Why did it keep moving forward? Was there really much of a point to it? It couldn't find an answer for itself, continuing to float around the park in search of something.

The small white egg hovered slowly up and down, twirling around trees and the occasional person in passing. Not that anyone truly paid it any mind, no one could it. No one ever could see it. But some reason, it enjoyed the quiet, being able to pass by freely with no one to stop it. It was a refreshing feeling of freedom it somehow...longed for.

But the stinging feeling of loneliness would pull it back, still missing 'that person'

Continuing to maneuver around the park, it passed the two girls slowly, still searching.
