She stepped back and avoided another punch. And another one. And another one. And another one. From this angle, she could see the spittle flying from the guy's mouth with every swing. Rai still had her hands in her pockets as she seemed to be avoiding everything so easily. It wasn't like she was going to engage him right away. A fight would look bad on her record...but still.

The whole thing started over something dumb. Something about the Red and White teams, and then something about some other teams. Words were said and Rai happened to be there. She also happened to get on someone's nerve enough to start his temper. There was nothing stopping her from just walking away, but as a newly minted member of the disciplinary committee, it was her job to keep these bone headed, hot temper types under control.

And that was how she ended up in a slowly growing crowd in the school courtyard. The guy, a third year with disheveled brown hair, was still trying to fight her.

"IF YOU WANNA PICK FIGHTS, STOP DODGING LIKE A PU--" The rest of whatever he was shouting was cut off by her fist. Her fist flew out and got him in the jaw, a satisfying smack stopping anymore of his annoying shouting. The crowd around them whooped, but the other student recovered faster than she expected.

Rubbing his jaw and looking angrier than ever, he charged at Rai.

And among that gathering crowd was one Notsuki Scout, who was at the edge with shining eyes as she watched the second year going at it with someone else she didn't know--but man did she look cool. She had no idea what they were fighting over, but she'd found herself drawn over by the activity and the people that kept flocking over and cheering.

Her shoulders were shrugged up with the tension as she balled fists under her chin, quiet at first, before ducking suddenly as she watched the fist fly out, catching the guy in the jaw and calling out, "YEAH, THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT," and hopping back up.

The crowd was mostly guys, but she didn't care--there was something so attractive to her about the raw energy of a fist fight: she'd never seen one for real before; the only fights she'd ever witnessed in front of her were battles of words and politics, so seeing emotions running raw and high and through physical means that weren't veiled with anything was downright enthralling. "GET HIM ON THE LEFT," she then called out in a squeak, her voice running higher than she realized with the adrenaline that was unexpectedly coursing through her.

This was so real. And the girl was so cool. This was incredible.

Rai's attention was focused on not getting hit, but the sudden high pitched squeak caught her by surprise. Part of her was wondering who the heck would see this as entertainment, while another part of her thought about how bad this must look, a disciplinary committee member punching another student. Those doubts were quickly silenced when a fist flew at her and got her in the cheek. 

The crowd went silent for a moment, the crowd it seemed, holding their breath. The silence was broken here and there by a few quiet whispers of "Did he actually hit a girl?" and a few whispered "Shit"'s. It certainly hurt, that was for sure. The guy managed to make her stumble back a few steps and land a solid one on her. Nothing was broken, but it would definitely be sore later. She looked at the student and glared. He looked smug and triumphant as he heaved to get his breath back. Ass thought he actually won this. 

This would look bad on her record.

Rai rushed forward faster than the crowd expected and gave the guy a kick to the chest, knocking him back a few steps too as he stumbled. The crowd began cheering again as she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him close enough so that they were face to face. And she punched him. Again. And again. And-- 

"TEACHER COMING! RUN!!" shouted some distant voice in the crowd.

Scout froze as the second year took the hit to the face, eyes widening and stuck to the size of full moons. Everyone had gone silent, fixated on the fact that this guy had just hit her square in the face. But she didn't seem to be particularly out of it--Scout hoped that she was alright!--especially when she rushed forward and NAILED the guy right square in the chest, and she pulled her arms in and had joined in on the cheering, stars in her eyes again as she watched.

She'd looked away by the time the punching had started due to hearing the calls over the crowd more nearby her, only for the people around to dissipate faster than seagulls fleeing from an angry fisherman.

Teacher coming--but was the girl okay?! As everyone headed away from the scene, Scout moved toward her, trying to bend down to crane a view toward her face to see if there was any real damage. "Are you okay? We should go, but like--are you hurt or anything?"

The other guy that had just had the shit kicked out of him? ... Yeah, no, he wasn't cute. No point in worrying about him, as far as she cared.

Rai paused as soon as she heard the shout, looking away from the guy she was punching and towards the crowd. The other student took the chance to sucker punch her one more time before trying to scramble away. Rai only let out a quiet grunt and let the guy go. He scrambled away from her and sprinted in the general direction that the other students were headed. Rai was still frozen in her spot, and not running away like any other sensible student would. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion, but when the girl popped in front of her and started talking, she snapped out of it.

Rai looked at her with a blank expression before rubbing her jaw. Definitely sore, but she could probably get a cold press from the infirmary--

"WHAT ARE YOU STUDENTS DOING HERE!!" The teacher's voice boomed at them and Rai blinked and flew into action. Grabbing the girl's hand, Rai yanked both of them up and started sprinting.

"Hope you can keep up," she called to the girl over her shoulder as they ran into the school building and towards the...infirmary?

"Eep!" Scout chirped as the voice of the teacher called out from behind them, and suddenly then she was running, having been pulled by the hand by the girl, and now they were in full sprint toward--somewhere.

Scout hadn't been prepared for that, stumbling a bit at first and trying to keep stride; the other was fast, far moreso than her, but she tried to push her legs to move as fast as they could--in high heels, at least. She wasn't often much one to run, or at least, not much to run so fast, but she gave it her best shot, though was quickly struggling for air.

"Don't--worry about--me!" she huffed between breaths, though if she had to keep up such a speed much longer, she'd be the one needing an infirmary, which it seemed that they were headed toward. That at least was a good idea, but did that mean she really needed medical attention!? Wait, something occurred to her at that moment then, at the thought of going--she'd been the less-injured of the two, right? So then, that would've meant that... "Wait, won't the--" huff, "--other guy be--" puff, "--there if we go--" huff, "--to the infirmary?"
