"Achoo!" Wakana rubbed her nose tiredly, wishing desperately that her nose would stop being bothered by the pollen that was no doubt setting off the beginnings of her allergies. It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining softly on the local park. The slight breeze blew away any heat that tried to sap away the energy of the all the students out from their classrooms. All in all? A perfect day for playing sports. Despite this, Wakana remained on the sidelines of the festivities, despite her longing to participate in the activities. Her teeth dug into her lip, brown eyes wide and watching the chaos ahead even as her fingers tugged at the right side of her shorts. It was a testament to how comfortable she had grown at this school, no doubt thanks to the efforts of Fara, her egg companion, that she was even able to wear them.
The sunlight gleamed across the dark surface of her prosthetic limb, both absorbing the light and reflecting it off the metal bits and pieces. It was the first time she had ever let it show in the open in town. There were a few stares, but for the most part she remained unnoticed..and alone without a team. Fara may have convinced her to proudly go out in the open, but that didn't mean she had to feel comfortable one hundred percent. She really wished she had made more friends now, at least it would be less awkward...
"Fara," she whispered quietly to the character that was pretending to nap against her neck. "What should I do now?"
There was no answer.
