As an esteemed member of the archery team and probably one of its most talented members, it was no surprise that Miuna was partaking in the more specialized events of the Sports Festival. There were multiple teams from across the region visiting Seiyo and the rush of so many different faces was thrilling. Miuna recognized some of the older teams from her mentor's gym, a few others just from the papers. She felt like she was in heaven, floating in between the upperclassmen and introducing herself with as much pride as she could muster. They were all skilled but she was confident her team would outshine them all. Ji-soo was a wonderful captain and she had full faith that he would lead the team to victory.
Now she stood by the fields, dressed up in her newly cleaned archery uniform ready to stand beside him and win their team gold. Everything should have been perfect, save for one (or maybe two) very difficult problems. Namely her parents, who stood above her bickering at while they wanted for the bell to ring. They hadn't seen each other in months and for the first time in a while were reunited at their own daughter's school event. If she wasn't used to their constant fights she'd feel almost embarrassed by the harsh comments thrown between the two. Sighing to herself, she dropped her stance and turned to them.
"Guys, can you not fight for like.... five seconds please? He's going to be here soon and I really, really don't want the first thing he hears to be you two calling each other names," Her parents stopped for a moment to look at her, both of them sporting an innocent look on their face.
"Mimi, sweetie, we're not fighting. Your parents are having a conversation!"
She just rolled her eyes, turning back to the field before her to raise her bow. With any luck the competition would start soon and she wouldn't have to worry about anything besides the target in front of her. Three months of practice, and finally she had her chance to shine.
