Rai hated doing this kind of thing. There were so many people shouting over each other, and the school quad was crowded. In the sea of club tables and booths, the Track club's table was easy to miss. There were the big flashy groups and ones that were crowded by people, but Track's booth wasn't like that. It was probably because Rai was the only person sitting there lonely, but she didn't really have anyone to blame. Their club base was small and Rai could figure out...several reasons why.
It could've been a number of things. Too many practices, too much work--were they unfriendly? Rai didn't spend too much time thinking about it. She was too busy smiling at passing students and handing out flyers. As team captain, it was her job to make sure their club didn't disappear because of too few numbers. Then again, it was also her job because the rest of the track team seemed to go missing when it came to this kind of stuff. She couldn't blame them.
Rai beamed at a passing group of first years, handing them a flyer and hoping they didn't just toss it as soon as they saw a trash bin.
"Join track! Get your running shoes on and get your legs in gear!" God, she hated doing this kinda thing.
