○ LEVELING GUIDE


Leveling is the main form of progression--and levels can be obtained by earning AP! Leveling up grants your character new powers with their Guardian Character, as well as with their allies. While the system may look a little complicated at first, we promise it isn't!

✭ There are 15 main levels, as well as 5 levels per faction that a character can achieve. Think of your character having 2 separate levels; their main level, and their faction level.

✭ Faction levels can be gained (or lost) at any time, whereas main levels are constantly increasing as your character collects AP (ex, if your character is level 8 and unaligned, they can still join any faction)! For more info on this, check the AQ Guide!

✭ Some faction levels will grant powers earlier than they would normally be unlocked on the main tree--if your character hits a level on the main tree or a faction tree that they already have the power of, they won't gain anything new for that level.

✭ Why do factions grant some powers earlier/exclusively? - IC-wise, it's likely that your character is receiving guidance in some way from those within the faction (be it by the other members, or the faction's leader)! When unaligned, your character is probably working on their own to try and figure out their own powers.

* Every time you switch factions, this number doubles (ex, if your character joins the Guardians and then switches to Faberge, they'll need at least 16 Faberge AP in order to join it. If they then decide to switch to join The Roost or go back to the Guardians, they'll need 32 Roost or Guardian AP in order to do so, and so on. Switching factions requires more trust to be built with the new faction before they'll be willing to accept you!).



EXAMPLE:



Example-kun is Level 7 with 3 levels in Faberge, meaning he'd have everything unlocked up to level 7 on his main tree, as well as the abilities granted by the first three levels of the Faberge tree. Because he isn't a member of The Roost, he doesn't unlock any of the abilities on the Roost tree, even though he has Roost AP.

-> Wait, but those numbers don't add up to 67!
Example-kun has probably in the past gained some negative AP for The Roost, and maybe some positive AP for the Guardians!

○ DEFINITIONS


Specifics for all the unlockable powers!

Egg Hatching	A Guardian Character has been born from your Heart's Egg; fueled by your dreams and hopes, they greet you as your new companion. Only the owners of Guardian Characters, as well as pure-hearted children, can see them.
Character Change	キャラチェーンジ！ Your Guardian Character can temporarily change you into the person that fulfills the wish that the Guardian Character was born from. Can be activated on command, but it can also happen on its own if you are exposed to something provoking the personality--treat it as a double-edged sword!
Character Change Attack	Your Character Change is granted a form of weapon and an attack to combat unwanted forces. Requiring little energy and able to be summoned quickly, you can arm yourself with defense against any incoming threats.
Character Change+	You and your Guardian Character have grown strong; your abilities in Character Change have increased. Your heart is lighter, freer, and some of your transformation's power has seeped into your abilities while Character Changed. Some abilities might be fast travel, weightlessness, high jump, intelligence; it all depends upon the Chara.
Egg-Sense	The aura of Heart's Eggs is something you've learned to sense, be it a Guardian Character or an X-threat. Even from far away, you can feel their presence and try to follow it to its source.
Egg Sense+	Your senses have sharpened; Heart's Eggs are now something you've become accustomed to, and you're able to track them down with ease. You can even tell if a Guardian Egg has been born recently upon examination.
Character Transformation	あたしの心、アンロック！ Your heart unlocks, and you and your Guardian Character combine powers as they enter into your heart, transforming your character entirely. This ability surpasses the power of Character Change by 120%, though it is a difficult and fatiguing power to harness. Fueled by believing in yourself, it may end early if you lose faith.
Attack Move	In Character Transformation, a weapon is summoned and harnessed to combat the power of your enemies.
Defense Move	In Character Transformation, a defensive object is summoned and harnessed to defend against the power of oncoming threats.
Buff Move	In Character Transformation, a buff of a kind influenced by the Character transformed with is applied to allies.
Second Attack Move	In Character Transformation, another weapon is summoned and harnessed to combat the power of your enemis; usually in nature different to the first, be it by range or approach.
Attack/Defense/Buff Special	In Character Transformation, your regular attack/defense/buff move with 1.5x the power of its original version. More effective, but more draining to the user.
Cure	ネガティブハートに、ロックオン！ Using the power of your Character Transformation, you utilize the ability to cleanse X-Eggs and X-Characters and return them to their original forms on a single scale, through a move appropriate for your Character Transformation.
Cure Special	When the forces of your heart and soul combine with that of your Guardian Character's, you gain the ability to cleanse large numbers of X-Eggs and/or X-Characters at once. Exhaustion will no doubt come about afterward, but you will have perished quite a threat.
Combo Move	When the hearts of you and your ally combine, you create enormous power to combat that of any threats that come your way. The power of both your attacks are summed, at little extra cost to either user. Be aware that both allies must have this ability unlocked in order to utilize it. (Base moves only)
Combo Move Special	The power of teamwork knows no bounds; combine your move Special with one of your ally's, and come together to purge any threat you might encounter. Be aware that your ally must be able to combo in order to utilize this. (Your Special + their base = 2.5x power, or your Special + their Special = 3x power)
Character Transform with other Characters	キャラなり！？ Harness an entirely new Character Transformation by transforming with a Guardian Character that isn't your own. Experience what it is to be that character, and experience the dreams of their owner firsthand. Twice as difficult and taxing as a regular Character Transformation. (1 attack only + small cure)
Transform with multiple Characters	フォーチュン？！ This is different--transform with not only your own Guardian Character, but with two or three at once?! The most arduous and physically demanding of all Character Transformation, it holds incredible power. (2x base Character Transformation power, 1 attack + 1 small spread Cure)
