+ Description: A third year in the dorm’s common room was bragging about how ghosts aren’t real, and that those who believe in them are silly--but ever since they said that, there’s been talk and signs of a ghost haunting the dorms! In actuality, it’s probably an X-character--which has been most commonly spotted in the first and third year wings on the second floor.

+ Go after and cleanse the X-character: +1 Guardians, +3 Faberge, +1 Roost
+ Stop the X-character by force (break their egg): -4 Guardians, -1 Faberge, -1 Roost, +5 ???
+ Use the opportunity to pull a ghost prank on another student: -3 Guardians, +2 Roost
+ Scare the ‘ghost’ off. +2 Guardians, -3 Roost, +1 ???

Daichi had heard whispers all around school about the supposed 'ghost', that seemed to be haunting the third years halls. Or so he heard, he had no idea himself. Sitting in his dorm absentmindedly twirling his pen in between his fingers as he talked with his Guardian character, Taiki who was already making guesses about what the haunting was really. " Okay, it could be just some students messing around the rumor, laying pranks and what not-" He stated reading from a perfectly sized notebook for his hand.

Turning a page, he continued, " Could be the dorms are just settling, you know how houses make noises? Like that!" He grinned at his kid, who was sitting in his desk deep in thought. " Hm yeah maybe." He offered weakly, worry pooled in his mind though. The last time there was a 'ghost' around school it was 'haunting' the library. Which ended badly for him, and some of the others involved. He didn't want that to happen again.

" Daichi." Called Taiki. "Hm? What is it?" He mumbled to the fairy. Already feeling the seriousness of Taiki's gaze on him, the fact he also called him by his name and not 'dee-dee' was also, strange. " This might not just be a prank you know- And I know, that you know what im talking about, right? We need to investigate it, just in case." Daichi settled back in his chair, lips forced into a line.

He- He didn't want to investigate, like at all- " The rumors say its in the third year halls, Keiko and Juon dorm over there, and a lot of our friends do too." Taiki spoke again with notebook seeming to vanish from his hand, arms now crossed against his chest, standing proudly with feet spread. " But we dont have to do it alone you know," Now there was a small smile, " Whats a hero with out his allies? But we need to do something."

Daichi seemed to pull back into himself, thinking. He knew Taiki was right to a point- He was already worrying about it, apparent by his leg tapping. If he were to not do anything, he would worry, if he didn't found out what it was- If Taiki and his thoughts were right, and if someone got hurt- If his friends got hurt, he- 

" Alright. OK. Yeah. We'll investigate." He decided, standing up from his chair and fishing for his hoodie from his bed, and pulling it on. Taiki was beaming, " Who are we gonna ask for help?!" the little hero asked excitedly. The raven haired teen grabbed his phone, staring at it before opening it and sliding to his messages. " I'll text Juon."

Said text was short and quick sent as the two heroes left Daichis' dorm. ' I need help with something, u wanna tag along? It might be egg related. Meet u by the 3rds common room. If ur up for it that is.'  

[Juon]

Juon had heard the rumors. He'd been subjected to overhearing whispers of this and that, both in classes and around the dorms. But he didn't believe any of it, by any means--before all of his egg nonsense, he hadn't been superstitious in the lightest bit. And, all things considered, he still really wasn't any much more now.

But it wasn't untrue that the evidence was there; there were odd noises in the hall recently, odd happenings with students, all that sort of things that made the rumors have a basis, a definite ground that something definitely wasn't wrong.

But it wasn't some ghost.

He had an inkling to what it might've been; Clip had been giving him looks, trying to prompt him to respond to confirm that they were feeling the same thing, but Juon was highly intent on trying to deny it. There were other perfectly capable students around the dorms, including those that he'd spotted at the library on that terrible day--they could handle it. They didn't need him; why would they need him?

An unpleasant buzzing to his phone confirmed otherwise. Frowning down at it as he unlocked the screen, his eyes skimmed over the text from Daichi--he already knew what all of this was about. Daichi, too, was powerful; he had skills, he was one of those who could definitely handle something like this. But the idea that he was coming to him about it--did that mean there weren't any others to turn to for it?

Would he actually need to step up this time?

The frown grew deeper, pressing an ugly line into his already-unhappy face. Getting up from his desk, phone clutched in his digits, he slipped on his shoes and started on the trudge out of his room, returning Daichi's elaborate opening message with merely a simple:

He waited outside the third year command room, head held up high looking around. There wasn't a soul in sight, not a single student around. Taiki stood in the air carefully watching the halls as well, but with more of a piercing gaze then Daichis own worried one. The writer took out his phone and checked the message he got, again. 'k' just a simple answer, he didn't dwell on it. Shoving his phone back into his hoodie pocket, he leaned back on the wall.

Taiki moved close to him perching on his shoulder. " So Ju-ju's gonna be our ally today? Thats kinda, risky...Not that i dont trust him, but, you know what i mean kiddo." Daichi nodded, he did know what he meant. From what the two of them knew Juon hadn't dealt with any bad eggs, or at least when Daichi was around taking care of eggs, he wasn't.

So it was strange that of all the people Daichi knew- And he knew a lot of strong people; Takeo, The prince who was just as strong at his title. Junko, The knight who also passed him in power, but was his cheerful best friend. Even Miuna, The lancer who he saw some mornings and helped the first year with her hair- Also shined brighter then him. All of them in his phone and could have just been as likely to get a message from him. They would, or at least would have run to Daichi's aid if he needed it, they were all good friends. However he picked Juon, reason being that he was a third year, someone who had probably heard more about this little rumor then anyone else. 

But also it was from Daichi's own anxiety to be completely honest. He- in a way wanted Juon to do this with him so he can keep an eye on him. Stupid idea, yeah. Why bring your friend into the line of fire, when you could have just left him safe in his dorm or wherever he was. Daichi was scared, if he were to solo it and if the x-character were to get a hold of Juon like the others. He didn't want that to happen, so his only thought was too- Ask him to be next to him, to keep tabs on him. He thinks anyways. 

Now he was waiting, waiting for his friend to show up. Waiting for his gamble to pay off, or for it to have been a waste all together. All he could do, was wait. 

[Juon]

Juon was there within a few minutes; though he'd known that there would be egg-things involved, he'd specifically made sure that Clip was inside his bag, and would not be able to get out on his own. Regardless of whether or not there were dangers present, he still didn't want Daichi to know about the true nature of his would-be self; whatever degree of friendship they had wasn't worth the risk of losing.

He approached slowly, though, his gait casual and his hands shoved in his pockets, trying to feign that he was as calm as any other time, rather than betray that his heart was pounding in his chest. He'd made a promise, after all, and he couldn't go back on it, especially right to Daichi's face.

Thankfully, no one else was around--so if something really were to happen, it didn't seem like anyone else was likely to be getting involved. The room itself was wide and open, chairs and tables scattering the floor. He hadn't yet developed any kind of strategic mind to see whether this could later be to their advantage or not, though; it wasn't even something that was crossing his mind. Or, perhaps, it was, but he was refusing to acknowledge it.

"Yo," he greeted, removing a hand from a pocket to offer a two-fingered wave, only for it to return to its position. "What're you feeling?"

[Daichi]

As soon as Juon arrived it took daichi a moment to register it having to pull himself out of his own head. Sorting his worried and anxiety into a pile and shoving them into the back of his head for the time being, he could worry another time. Taiki carefully watched as Juon approached, he seemed at least on the outside. He took a mental noted of it for later. He flew over to him as he approached. " Ju-Ju did you bring your guardian? " He asked quickly assuming he wouldn't just show up with out anything. Juon wasn't stupid he knew that.

Daichi pulled his eyes from the ground looked over to the third year offering his own weak, " Hey." There was a pause. As he tapped back into his egg sense and a stronger present arrived, near but at the same time a bit distance. " X-character. I think." He stated. Taiki nodded, " Rumors and all there's something lurking in around here for sure." The little hero crossed his arm across his chest more serious stance. Daichi eyed Juon, " Are you ready for- You know whatever is going to happen?" Maybe that really wasn't the right thing to say- But it was all he could think of.

He peered into the room, Taiki did as well only more narrowed and watchful eyes, mostly taking note of the chairs and tables." Dee-dee I'm ready when you are." The guardian spoke calmly. Daichi just hummed in reply, sure he was ready to character transform. He was going to hold off until Juon was also ready.

[Juon]

Juon wished he could've shared the skill of shoving his anxiety to the back of his head--even though he seemed fine externally, he could already feel his heart rate beginning to climb, especially as Daichi had mentioned the word 'X-character.' Was that that thing he'd seen that one day? That... Guardian Character-esque thing that had hatched from the 'X-egg'?

"Yeah, I brought him," he announced in a muttering response, obviously not all that keen on the fact. But he was here, and only to come out if absolutely necessary--though, while hiding in the depths of his bag, Clip could hear the goings-on and was wiggling about excitedly for an opportunity to poke out and reveal himself. Contrary to usual, Juon had sealed him up tight within the bag, his only out being to try and peer between the teeth of the zipper--usually he was more careless than this. Why the big fuss? It couldn't be too bad if he was allowed to come out, right?

Juon gulped meanwhile. "Yeah, uh--yeah."

A last pause. "Just uh... lead the way," he prompted, trying to shove all of his nerves down his throat before they could get caught there and mute him. "It's..." he attempted to tap into his own X-sense, but it was something he'd been working so hard to suppress, that now that he was trying to tap into it, it sent shivers down his spine. "Over there? Right? That's where the uh... you know."

The halls had long since been emptied, many students getting reluctant to be around for too long. No one wanted to be caught by the ghost, a few startled students had made sure everyone was afraid to be seen by it. Claiming that it had screamed at them until they ran in terror. It never touched a student, but it certainly had more than something to say to them. Although no one ever stuck around long enough to listen to what the screaming was actually saying.

The further they ventured the thicker the atmosphere became. A slight weight coming down on their shoulders as a soft wail was heard through the hall. With each wail the weight would gradually get a bit heavier. It almost seemed as if the source of the noise was...crying?

The soft sobs and wails would gradually get closer and louder as it approached before it passed them completely all together. It had zipped right by them just as they were looking for it! It's cries growing faint as it fled the other direction. A few minutes would pass before it happened again, the wails passing them back and forth after every five or ten minutes as if to taunt them almost.

It knew they were here.

And it wanted to be heard.

A few more times and the wailing would cease, the halls returning to the ghost town like state it had been in when they entered. But the thick sense of anxiety on their shoulders remained, it was still around but what was it up to...

[Daichi]

Taiki nodded at Juon, to assure the boy he had been heard. Taiki thought didn't dwell to much on the fact while Juon said his guardian character was here he had yet to see it. Maybe it just like hiding? Daichi took a breath as he pushed inside. He should be used to this, he had cured quite a bit of x-related things, but he always had help. So this time wasn't much different they the others, he had Juon after all, he would be some help, right? "Taiki." Daichi stated to the fairy which prompted the little guardian, the next thing anyone knew was that Taiki was gone and Daichi sported his character transformation. Summoning his shield to his arm and his sword to his back. Standing a bit straighter, almost as if to fight bad against the atmosphere that weighed on him.

At first the X-character neared them crying, but then- It passed then completely. Running back and forth along the halls- Daichi turned on his heel and out the door. " Juon, Come on!" He called as he ran down the hall to follow the crying character. Pulling his sword from his back. He lost it as it seemed aimlessly run back and forth. Then the silence. Not a sound.

Daichi narrowed his eyes as he glanced up and down the hall. He called out to it, " I heard you, I saw you, where did you go? " A simple attempt to get it to make a sound. All Daichi's x-character experiences, how ever few that was, he found talking to them was somewhat good call.

[Juon]

Juon's heart started beating faster as the atmosphere grew thick. As the cries came. As the character passed them by, zooming down the hall and seeming to be waiting to come back for another pass. The pounding was hard in his ears and hot through his blood; he was startled and confused and suddenly losing a great deal of confidence as everything started happening around him, and he felt too in a daze to keep up.

Daichi had done the--the Character Transformation thing, and was calling for him to do the same. Clip had poked his way out of the bag as Daichi had started running down the hall after the X-character, and Juon had to swallow as much of his fear as he could as he opened his bag fully, letting his Guardian Character zip out, only for him to immediately charge toward Juon, popping back into his egg as he rammed Juon in the chest, fading into him as the transformation was initiated.

It was his second time with it, and the only thing he knew for sure was that it was dark. It was dark and it was quiet, as he could focus on little else but himself in the effort to maintain function, having to ignore parts of his surroundings in order to keep focused. Those surroundings of which were quite a disadvantage to him; being one that flourished in open spaces, having to be confined to hallways like this was not to his benefit. As he touched back down to the floor as Gravity Thief, all he could think to do was charge in the direction that he'd seen Daichi go earlier, his swift feet carrying him very quickly down the hallway. He'd take care of this... he'd take care of this so that the rumors, the 'ghost', so it all would stop bothering him. His X-sense could feel the X-Character around, until then he--couldn't, and he fell to a stop, only to hear Daichi's voice, which was now behind him.

"Come out!" he called in a shout. Its hiding was an irritating inconvenience.

The whispers and cries continued to sound through out the hallway, not missing a moment even after the two had called it out. "Useless...useless...." It wailed slowly, dragging out each word it repeated. Each cry echoed through the hall, passing them by without the owner of the pitiful howls.

It would be a few minutes before the small character crept out of hiding, keeping its distance from the two. It wore a large, miserable look on its face, accompanied by possibly the most sour frown one might see on someone. "Useless...uselss....." It let out a large sigh, avoiding their eyes before it quickly flew past them both quickly changing its position behind them.

It rest its hands behind its back, glancing at them for a moment before looking away. It looked as if it wanted to say something but it said nothing, instant just hovering a ways away from them. With a sniffle it wiped at its eyes, looking over at the boys before a grin quickly crept onto its face. With a snicker it zipped down the hall a bit more, turning back to them both before patting its lap as if to beckon them.

It was....it was teasing them.

It wanted them to follow it.

As if perhaps like playing a game. It was still unclear what exactly this character was aiming for but right now it was having fun toying with the two of them, its mood drastically changing with the flip of a switch. They would be wise not to upset it. If its crying was enough to startle and spook students it was safe to assume it's anger would do worse....
