"Okay, honestly why are you here again?"
It was the end of the school week and Yasuko had been more than glad to grab her bag off of her chair and immediate start for the dormitories. To be honest, she hadn't been concentrating well in class ever since what went down at the school's library. She had woken up in the infirmary, and, not knowing where she was, had sat bolt upright in panic and had to crouch down again because she had a blinding headache. And she was thoroughly exhausted, like she had run a whole marathon without a proper break. It was a strange feeling. Luckily though, the doctor told her that there was nothing strange that was going on with her - her tests had all come back fine - but she still never felt quite right.
Miuna had told her what happened at the library, but she was still rather confused. Her memories of the event were hazy at best. But every time she tried to prod further into them, feelings of fear, sadness and anger would wash over her and she would stop, breathing heavily, wondering what in the world was that?. She remembered clearly up to grabbing the library handles - and even remembered something about strange costumes and a couple of other Seiyo students being there too - but afterwards all that dominate her memories were feelings of negativity. Like she was never seen by others...never could be seen again...and that no one would want to see her...
Shoving her bag onto her bed, she gave an irritated sigh. She was alone for now at the dorms; her roommate seemed to be more of an outside person and she wouldn't be back until much later at least. She really only just wanted to rest - until the dorm manager had knocked on her door, informing that she had a visitor. A visitor? she had asked, a look of puzzlement on her face. Weren't both her parents and her brothers really busy? So who could it be...
Oh wait. There was only one other person that would come visit her.
Quickly, she rushed downstairs and thrown open the doors. What greeted her was a tall male, with unruly spiky brown hair, dressed in just a T-shirt and jeans. Her brother. The brother that was in university. Only he could have the time to do this sort of surprise visit.
The male in front of her had given her a quick cheery hello, laughing at her horrified face. Without saying anything else, he had grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the dorms, telling the dorm manager that he was "Taking his little sister out for a bit!" And they had somehow ended up having a slow walk around the school, where she had given him an impromptu tour of the whole place. He had insisted on wanting to know more about the school. To which Yasuko had only glared at him for. She would have shoved him away and told him to go home, but he had immediately produced two strawberry ice-cream pops that he had bought from the school store. And she simply couldn't refuse after that. Even if the weather was still cold.
Turning to face her, her brother had started to laugh at her question. "I told you didn't I?" he had started, unwrapping parts of his ice cream pop to expose more of it. "My whole class just got done with assignments and I had nothing to do. Even Jiro went home to chill." He winked at her. "So since your big brother had some free time, I thought 'why don't I come to Seiyo to visit my baby sister?' "
If Yasuko wasn't on school grounds, she would have whacked him for using the word 'baby sister' in public. Instead she settled for shooting him a dirty look. Honestly, she wasn't a kid anymore! She was in high school; she didn't need this kind of pet name! And honestly he didn't need to drop by for a surprise visit either! She was a big girl, she could take care of herself.
Sighing, she rubbed her temples. "No but seriously, Yasuo, what are you doing here?" she asked again, pointing her halfway eaten pop at him. Her brother had done this before - he had already dropped in for surprise visits twice, and each time he would always pull her out to go downtown. But this was the first time he had wanted her to give her a tour of the school; especially when there were hardly any students at all. It was a strange thing for her brother to do. It was...as if he wanted to be alone with her for a while.
Her brother grinned again. "Do I need a reason to visit my little sister?" he teased. Yasuko wanted to ask more, but he had suddenly gone on forwards, cutting their conversation short. Pointing upwards at the building in front of her, he cheekily inquired. "What's this building?"
Yasuko stared blankly at him. "..It's the sports facilities building Yasuo. Seriously, you could read right?" She said, while pointing at the sign above him. Her brother only laughed. "I just wanted to make sure!" Looking around, as if looking for any students, he jokingly asked. "Hey Yasuko, is anyone using the courts? We should totally play basketball!" He started to laugh. "Remember when you were a kid you always wanted to play with Yasuhiro and I? You were so small then, it was so cute."
"Wha-!" Yasuko seethed at him. "Not in public, you asshole!"
"Awww, but it was so cute!" her brother teased. "Come on, don't you want to play with your big brother again?"
Yasuko glared daggers at him.
