Eating ice cream these days tended to be a bummer. How could this little man called "Yoshihiro" do this to him?
The little blonde man, only a little bigger than the egg he hatched from, called himself "Yoshihiro" and comes in the name of "protecting" Elijah. The first few days with this little man were rough- at first Elijah thought he was really hallucinating and going crazy. He even prayed at the temple for an exorcism of some kind, begging the gods to strip away this strange voice, this... thing. An explanation was in order, but it took many days for Elijah to adjust to the reality of it. He loved his nagging mother to death, but Yoshihiro acted like a nagging father, which was a little worse.
Either way, he was not-so-happily enjoying an ice cream bar after school on a nice bench with Yoshihiro floating at his side.
"That's the fifth one you've had this week and it's only Tuesday, Eiji."
Elijah tensed, "I told you not to call me that! It's so embarrassing and no, this isn't." He scoffed, "You're exaggerating again."
The little samurai floated closer to his shoulder, leaning forward to peer at the black and white treat. "I suppose your appetite is still voracious, seeing as how you're still growing. But this isn't the type of confection you should be having often. Your diet should be-"
"Agggh! Don't you ever stop?" The boy slumped, frustrated with his so-called guardian. "It makes me happy to eat something sugary."
Yoshihiro leaned back on his nimbus, crossing his arms. "Why not do something reasonable, like konpeito? Or even better, fruit. Fruit is sugary, but nowhere near the sugar content of what you're eating. Eiji."
The exchange seemed to look as if Elijah was down on his luck that day. But if anyone could see Yoshihiro next to him, they'd be glad to find Elijah wasn't going crazy.
