Staring at the piece of paper in her hand, Yasuko looked up before back at it again. Her classmates had all talked excitedly about the new machine that was just installed at the nearby Arcade over the past week. "They say it's a Rock Band machine!" one of the boys had said. "Wait, didn't they have one before?" one of the girls had quipped, leaning forwards on her table. "Well, they did, but it's a new one this time! They said it has all the new songs and everything!" the boy had continued with eagerness in his voice. "We have to totally check it out!"
They had turned towards her then, wondering if she would come along. To be honest, she didn't understand why they were trying to get her to to with them; they weren't exactly friends and she didn't try to be. They were even trying to engage her writing skills in some sort of way, asking her that she could totally document the whole thing and write it up as an article. Although she wasn't thrilled at the idea at first, she started to remember her rather...low amount of experience with journalism writing, what with the short article she had fussed over last week. Maybe she would need the practice, of sorts. So, reluctantly, she agreed.
Though it seemed they weren't here yet.
Sighing, she stood there pondering, as she stared at the Arcade in front of her. She hadn't been in it before - she had no reason to. Games weren't really her thing after all; her brothers were avid gamers, but all she did was either scream at them to pipe it down, or join in as some kind of impromptu one-man cheering squad. Scratching her head, she wondered how long she should wait here for them...
