"A letter about dreams and passion?" a pondering Masahiko thought. He was sitting in the library, contemplating on the activity that student council was promoting. "Dreams..." he whispered. The student council wanted students to write anonymous letters to people about hopes and all that bull crap. As he looked down at his paper and thought deep about what to write, he saw a second year walk across from him. He paid her no mind. He just wanted to write this letter to make someone's day. He wanted to help someone with an issue at least for once. He tied his hair into a ponytail and sucked his teeth. "A letter to an anonymous person huh?" He found himself lost in thought about what to write about? His dream of being sweet and nice? His dream of becoming a world renowed actor? What about his dream of being able to tell his father that was a complete bastard and should be dropped in the ocean? He kept his eyes on the blank sheet of notebook paper. He tapped it with his pen and was absent from his mind. He thought about the times he's had with his sisters and one friend he made. He looked up at the second year again and smirked under his breath. She looked lonely and that there sparked his intention to write.
"To whoever you are.
If I were to sit here and care for what you truly want as a dream, I wouldn't. If you were to ask me what my ambition is at the moment, it'd be nothing. If you were to try hardest for a dream you desire and you don't get it, stop trying. Your dreams are going to stay dreams. Give up, kid. You can hope until you're ninety four and own fifty cats named Neko-chan but you'll never get what you pray for. Take it from me..."
The letter was going well. He was probably going to finish it in one go. Yet, the girl in front of him was all he could see. He couldn't take his eyes off her. It was like a silent story that only he could read. Her body language and her appearance just narrated to him on how lonely she was. He shook his head and stood up slowly. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and stepped towards the girl.
"You look lonely." was all he mumbled from his mouth, gripping the unfinished letter in his hand.
