♢ FABERGE TALENT AGENCY
The Faberge Talent agency (Fab-re-jay; ファベルジェ) was founded by its current president in 1994; though it originally started as simply a recruiter for those talented onstage, it has since expanded to cover a variety of mediums, offering training and opportunities for all types of creative youths throughout Otonoki. Though the company has branches elsewhere throughout the prefecture, Otonoki's branch was the original that the company began from, after the area was deemed to be teeming with talent and potential.
Faberge takes on all kinds of individuals, such as those talented in fields like singing, dancing, acting, broadcasting, copy/script writing, graphic design, web design, poetry and prose, photography/cinematography, audio, lighting, and more (mainly staying within the field of entertainment). It works closely with Seiyo Academy to offer further education in all of these fields by taking on students and working with them both during (as a replacement block for another class) and after school so that they may be able to hone their craft and have firsthand experience in it when going on to pursue greater things after graduation. Some are even scouted directly from the company to work elsewhere.
The company's aim is in giving students real-life experience working in the field by simulating and guiding them through a mockup of the real thing before they can even set foot in college; agents keep an eye on and teach about working both on and behind the cameras or stage, and students often work together to put together their own events, which are offered to the public either by live shows or via local broadcasting, where the company has its own television channel and streaming website. The revenue from all of these events go back to the company, which help them to be able to keep offering these programs to students.
To be enrolled in Faberge's program, students will usually apply or audition, putting together either a demonstration or a portfolio of their skills--though sometimes they're scouted directly from Seiyo if they've shown particular talent.
The Faberge building is located right on Otonoki's main street, and is open five days a week from 9AM-9PM. The sleek black building stretches up six floors, though there's also a basement area with a separate entrance where a large underground stage is located; events are often held there.
