This is where you can put your passions into what you do! What club will you choose? Art club? Gardening club? Archery club? Are you even trying to get your own club started? Whatever you choose to do be it join a club or make your own at this school, you know hijinks will ensue!

“IF YOU LIKE FRIENDS AND YOU WANNA HAVE FRIENDS COME JOIN MY CLUB WHICH IS ABOUT FRIENDS!” Nao was trying anything he could to get the passing students interested in his idea. He had been waving flyers around in the air for half an hour now, but only a few people had even taken one. He couldn't understand where exactly he'd gone wrong in his advertisement for his club; he'd made a colorful sign and each of the flyers was hand-drawn. They depicted a group of stick figures all holding hands on a mountain. It was meant to symbolize all of the fun adventures a group of friends could go on together. 

This had been a dream of his for a long time. Although he wasn't completely sure about what sort of activities this club would do, he'd already gotten it approved by the faculty and was told that if he could gather five members, they'd be granted a little storage closet for use as a club room. Today, gathering members was the goal.

Try as he might to interest the student body, however, he still had a full stack of flyers sitting next to him at his table, and he didn’t know how he was going to manage to pass them all out. Maybe people at this school just didn’t want to make friends, but he was determined to force them. His expression slightly dismayed but still determined, Nao looked around at the passing crowd and picked out the next person who seemed friendly enough. 

"Hey! Hey!" He chirped as he offered his flyer with an earnest shimmer in his eyes, "I'm starting a Friends Club! You should check it out!" 

[Ji-Soo]

This place was much more different than the private schools he had attended in Korea. The whole set up of the club fair was bright colours, crowded booths and very loud students. It wasn't bad he assumed, just different. Maybe he would even be able to find a club or two to join here.

Ji-Soo had been trying to dodge the crowd for the last hour to get a glimpse at the booths when he passed by, yet, in such a dense place with people pushing into others, trying to get a person's attention with physical contact was basically useless now. What surprised him the most is that the first time he had been acknowledged that day was by a brown hair boy pushing a piece of paper into his face. ...Friends Club? There was even such a thing? The only way he could react was with a few blank blinks. 

The flyer was just as unusual as the idea of a Friends Club, but Ji-Soo hesitantly reached out a hand and grabbed onto it. "Have fun doing activities with fellow students!" it read underneath what looked like a hand drawn picture. Huh. He guessed it wasn't so bad. It wasn't a club that involved him talking much since it was activities right? Why not he thought.

Folding the flyer in half, Ji-Soo tucked it under his arm while the other side pulled out his sketchbook and began writing. A few seconds later, the pad was turned around to be in sight of the other boy and tilting his head inquisitively. "What does someone do in the Friends Club?"

Nao was so elated simply to see someone take the flyer, he sat up with an eager expression and closely watched the boy as he read. He was hoping to see some sort of interest in his face, but was rather surprised when he simply folded it and tucked it away. Leaning back a little in his seat, Nao watched curiously as the boy wrote, wondering why he didn’t speak.
He'd ask about it later, but for now Nao was more focused on making this boy his new best friend.

When he turned the pad around, the question written on it actually stumped Nao for a moment. He bit his lip, looking down at his lap where his legs were crossed as he felt the tips of his ears tinge red. Well, he hadn’t come up with an awful lot of ideas for activities yet, but then again, he hadn’t expected anyone to really want to know.


Peering up at the boy with a sheepish grin, Nao replied, “Make friends! Help others be friends with each other…and help people with their problems! You know, meet lots of people! Imagine walking around school and everybody likes you everywhere you go!” Nao smiled brightly to punctuate his vision.


“Other than that…” Nao pressed a fingertip into his cheek, making his lips into a weird pose as he considered further.


“I could braid your hair and we can play Kick the Can!” He chirped.

[Ji-Soo]

Uh oh, did he ask the wrong question? The other boy was turning red. Maybe he should-

Ji-Soo startled a bit when he got the enthusiastic reply in return. He hadn't been expected the quick turnaround. Though, it was about making friends huh? Well He guess that was to be expected given the name of the club after all. Though he didn't really expect everyone to like him everywhere he went. Regardless, the other boy's excitement was contagious; Ji-Soo found himself smiling back happily too.

Smile still on his face, he pulled his pad back and scrawled quickly, "Hmmm I wouldn't mind if u braid my hair ^u^ and kick the can sounds fun." He had to bite his lip slightly in worry. "I'm also part of another club 2, but if that's ok I would love to join!" Tilting his head to the left questioningly, Ji-Soo took his pen and mimicked signing a signature in mid-air.

[Nao]

Nao was just thinking to himself that Ji-Soo had a nice smile and should smile some more when he turned the pad around, to which Nao perked up as he read it. Elated, Nao jumped up from his seat with a beaming smile and had to stop himself from hugging Ji-Soo. 

"Definitely!" Nao crowed joyfully, "I'm in the swim club too but we'll figure it out! What club are you in?! Like sports or something? I'll come cheer you on! Wait, wait, right! Right! The member registration...form..." Nao turned around to look at the table and boxes he had set up around himself, a sweet but confused expression on his face. "Where were they? I put them...um...eh? Where...?"

Reaching up to his hair, Nao began to twirl his curls around a finger as he thought. "Ah! I forgot them! In the club room!" Making a sheepish grimace, Nao looked back over at Ji-Soo and asked in a sweet voice, "...Do you want to come see the club room with me? And, um, get the papers?" Biting his lower lip, Nao gave an apologetic smile. And then they spent the rest of the day doing fun club things! Woo hoo!

[Ji-Soo]

Nao suddenly jumped out of his seat startling Ji-Soo a bi-HE WAS TALL AS WELL?!? It seemed like the small stature boy was constantly meeting people, of well, higher vertical stature than him. First his roommate, now Nao. Well, at least Nao seemed nice enough not to pet him on the head. Plus he was such a happy person, if that beaming smile was anything to go by.

It was good that the other boy was part of another club as well, Ji-Soo thought. He would feel bad that he was the only one ditching this club periodically. Just when marker met paper to start writing a response and let Nao know about his clubs, it seemed they hit an unintended snag. The taller boy swiveled around confused looking for forms, only remembering where they actually were and guiltily asking Ji-Soo to come along. He didn’t mind really. It took him out of the bustling crowd at least; he had silently taken the pushing and shoving all day already

Looking up, he gave Nao a reassuring smile and nod, hoping it would ease the worry a bit. He gestured his arms to lead the way and started slowly moving himself. Well, if they were walking for a bit, this might give him just enough time to get back to the question from earlier about clubs. Moving to the other boy’s side so he could see while Ji-Soo wrote, marker started scribbling “Well, I’m part of the archery club now and unofficially a band club. But swim sounds fun! What's it like”
