He’d had a pretty bad day so far, first he’d woken up late for school. Having had a tough time falling asleep that night he had an enough tougher time forcing himself to wake up for the day ahead of him. Honestly? He just wanted to sleep in bed forever. But to top that morning off it had been pouring, forcing him to sprint his way to school, getting into class late and soaking wet; causing the teacher to scold him and ask him to visit him after school to discuss why he was late. Luckily enough for him he kept his gym clothes in his locker and he had just brought a fresh clean pair the day before, so he sat and wore the vibrant red track suit around the school, even if he hated it at least it was far better than a wet uniform by any measure.
But now it was the end of school and either his teacher forgot about their little meeting or he was doing it to fuck with him for being late. Eventually after around twenty minutes Hikaru grew fed up and stood up and walked more or less in resignation, allowing the day its victory. That is until he looked out the window and noted the hurricane like conditions, watching the rain pelt the window. It was dark outside with the looming black clouds covering any amount of blue skies that could have been there.
He groaned and sat down in the hall, he couldn’t go out there like this. He’d just get all wet again, and besides it was far too windy. It would be dangerous to even try getting out there. Hikaru leaned his head against the wall and stared up at the light fixture, yelping and shielding himself when the lights crackled and sparked, causing a very audible ‘POP’ before all the lights in the hall and as far as he knew, the entire building to shut off.
Hiki just put his head in his hands, making quite the indescribable noise of frustration “Great. Just—great. This is exactly what I wanted today, oh good lord above how did you know?!” he screeched to himself, paying no mind if anyone caught him sitting there talking to himself.
