✭ NEWS 663
News 663 is Seiyo Academy’s own news station! Run through Faberge and hosted by Seiyo second year Udehara Tamako, it provides updates and happenings on interesting and important things that go on within the school’s campus. This is a handy way for characters to learn about goings-on, and a great way OOC to keep everyone updated and involved!
Because it involves goings-on of the rp, we invite everyone to come and contribute to it! While we can still make episodes without, it’s much more fun and expensive to have everyone’s input and experiences.
There are a number of things that get included in the broadcasts, including:
- Mentions about new AQs
- Summaries of RPs
- Event info
- Fun setting details
- Art features
- News ticker headlines
- And more!
And there are all kinds of ways for members to contribute to each of these, both directly and indirectly:
- New AQs - If you’ve submitted an AQ, we’ll mention about it! All submitted AQs, both from members and staff, get included.
- RP Summaries - Have an rp that the events of which might’ve caught word around school? Note us a couple-sentence summary of what happened! We’ll include it in the Student Life beat.
- Event Info - While the news will also cover new events, memories from previous events might get mentioned too, depending on how they ended up playing out from member participation! Some results from event happenings may be announced via News 663 as well.
- Fun setting details - Have a recurring NPC in your rps? Have a cute headcanon about campus? Note it to us! We’ll throw it into the broadcast. Worldbuilding is best when everyone’s involved!
- Art features - If we have a “story” to cover, and you’ve done art that’ll fit it quite well, we’ll ask if we can include it! Generally, art featured in the news will have a certain setting, or detail a certain event.
- News ticker headlines - Have an rp or series of headcanons that would make a great headline for a scrolling news ticker at the bottom of the broadcast? Note it to us, and we’ll include it! Should be short and sweet, like “Observing first-year falls into pool during swim meet,” or “Unknown student accidentally sets dorm microwave on fire.”
All contributors will receive credits for their contributions at the end of each episode, and also a small token bonus depending on the type of submission!
