Five Nights At Seiyo
+ Description: Some students have been hiding out around campus in the evening with some horror masks, jumpscaring anyone who walks by. While some are amused by it, others haven’t been taking it very well.

Daichi sat quietly at a desk in the library. Studying of course for a test coming up soon. He drummed his pencil on his notebook as he re-read his textbook. Every now and then jotting down some notes, events he need to look up again or anything worth noting. He was quite proud with the work he had gotten done.

He had got about 3 passages when he noted the growing mess of books and papers around him. Now he didn't mean for that to happen. Standing up he stretched his arms over head and picked up some of the books. Some of them he wouldn't need till tomorrow, might as well put them up for others to use. It would be rude to hoard all of them.

Humming to himself he started toward the shelf's to put the books back in there rightful places. However he failed to notice the trickster student in a horror mask lurking around the library keeping a watchful eye on an unsuspecting Daichi. He manged to put at least one book back in its rightful place. He felt uneasy for some reason? Like someone was watching him. Maybe it was just his mind playing tricks on him though?

[Ji-Soo]

Ji-Soo was grumpy. Well, grumpy was too mature to describe what he was really doing, which was being pouty. All day people had kept popping out of no where or making sudden noises or BOTH. Being mute meant he was used to the quiet. Therefore sudden sounds scared him. Worse is when he tried instinctively to scream in surprise, he realized he couldn't, no sound came out and this only proceeded to hurt his throat. So overall, Ji-Soo was pouty.

With the thought of a peaceful and quiet haven, the Korean boy quickly scurried in the direction of the library. At least he thought the library, regardless of country, held the same principles of silence. He pushed aside the heavy doors and ventured inwards. Definitely quiet, perfect. What he didn't expect was for it to be so messy?

To the left a table long enough to fit four people was filled with books and papers threatening to topple over at any second. Yet there was no one around- oh wait. Standing further to the left stacking away some similar books was a teen slightly taller than him. Ji-Soo swiveled his head back and forth between the table and the other boy; cleaning up this mess would take forever with just a single person. Maybe he should lend the other a hand.

Walking up behind the other teen, Ji-Soo did as he always had to gain attention, he reached out and quietly tapped the shoulder in front.

[Daichi]

Daichi felt a tap on his shoulder he turned around slowly. He half expected there to be a monster behind him. He sighed relieved when he saw it was only another student. " Oh, Hi, uh What's up?" He asked the ever so slightly shorter male. Turned back to the shelf while he waited for a response.  Putting a few books he had in his hand on the shelf. While he did so though he noticed something in between the gaps of the shelf and the top of the books- What was that? He swore he saw something move. Well this was the library after all, it could have just be another student. He was just paranoid. 

Shaking his paranoia off he turned back to the shelf- Only to be greeted by a mask peaking back at him." CHRIST-" He yelled in surprise. The frightened nerd dropped half his books on the ground due to that little surprise. Taking a step back o distance him self from the scarer her nearly nearly bumping into the other student who just tapped him on the shoulder. The scarer behind the bookshelf laughed before running off. Daichi groaned. " Whyyyy."

[Ji-Soo]

As Ji-Soo went to start writing a reply, he was interrupted by the yelp as the teen nearly backed into him. Startled, the Korean jerked back quickly himself and accidentally smearing marker across his face. Hopefully he didn't look too ridiculous, he could take care of it later. And the books too, the heavy things were scattered all over the ground now.

First though, he decided to scrap his earlier message in favour of "Ppl scaring u too?", moving only the pad in front of the other boy. Instead of waiting for an answer though, Ji-Soo had a more important question, "Do u know who those ppl are? I've gotta wack them over the head with my sketchpad!" He puffed out the cheeks in frustration. Even the sanctity of the library wasn't safe now it seems, this means WAR! In the corner of that message was an arrow pointing directly upwards at himself that read in smaller font "^ I'm Ji-Soo btw."

[Daichi]

When Daichi saw the sketchpad in front of his face he was more or less a little surprised. He responded right as Ji-soo pulled the notepad away." Apparently? I mean I heard that people were going around scaring but i wasn't really sure it was still going on." Wait, was this guy a mute? Was he sick and couldn't use his voice for the time being? Before he could think about it further, the boy's notepad was in front of him again. Oh another question? " Not a clue. My guess is their some students who like to scare." He responded as he read. " You gonna teach them a lesson with your notepad? Daichi clucked after reading the rest of the message," Haha, that would be something. A handful teenagers running away from you. And you chasing them down with a notepad. That would be a sight."

He nearly missed the message in the corner. "Nice to meet you, Ji-soo. I'm Daichi." He bent down to pick up the books he dropped back into the safety of his arm. Standing back up he put two books back on the shelf. " Do you mind if i ask about the notepad? Only if you don't mind me asking that is, if you do mind forget i said anything." How often did he get asked that though? Daichi guessed a lot.

[Ji-Soo]

So it seems that this person didn't know anything about what is going on either. He had to let out a soundless sigh at the lack of a lead. As the other teen continued to put away the books, Ji-Soo heard the question he had most of his life. The way it was asked didn't seem like it held pity or he was being nosy, just curious. Flipping the pad around, the explanation was long but since he had so much practice with this particular explanation, it was written in record time. "No worries, don't mind! Have to write things to talk, I'm mute. Unless u like talking w/ charades! XD" No one has yet taken him up on that option but it would be really interesting.

Ji-Soo went and grabbed some books from the desk to help put them back. It would take a while, but might as well make sure it wasn't a war zone left behind. Especially considering what he ha wanted to do. Daichi didn't seem to be in on the whole scaring business though since he was a target himself. Maybe he could help him? When the last book in his hands went in its rightful place in the shelves, the sketchpad came out again "Hey Daichi, want to help me catch the scarers? No more  jump scares, and I getta wack someone +u+"

[Daichi]

Daichi dragged his hand across the covers of the books on the shelf. His eyes glided over the sorting numbers on the books. He managed to up the last of the books in his arms up, before being greeted by the notepad again. Wow. That was fast, it sure doesn't take Ji long to write. Daichi was a little envious with Ji-soo's writing capability, only a little. "A mute? I see, I see, that must be tough sometimes." He replied with a small nod. " Charades? Ha, sounds fun, but i dont think I would do very well with Charades. But I wouldn't mind trying." He grinned. " Fair warning though, if i suck at charades dont hit me with your notepad!" He joked with a light chuckle.

When his new friend headed over to his desk he spoke up. " Oh uh you dont have to do that you know." It was his own mess after all. Not that he didn't appreciate the help, he just kinda felt bad that he made a huge mess in the first place. As Ji-soo put up the rest of the books Daichi thanked him, " Thanks for helping, with, uh, my mess." He gathered his notebook and papers and put them in a folder laying on said desk. He pulled up his backpack from the floor and put away his notes. The notepad was out again Daichi gave Ji his full attention. " Help you catch the scarers?" He laughed, " You are really out for vengeance aren't you? Sure I'll go with you. It would be safe to travel in pairs away way." With Ji-soo around ready to smack anyone who dare try to scare them, He felt safer already.

[Ji-Soo]

Sucking at charades? Ji-Soo's mind flew to another boy that really WASN'T able to do charades at all causing him to chuckle silently. He doubted Daichi would actually be that bad, even if he was, he always had his pad as back up.

When all the books had been put away, Ji-Soo gave the other boy a nod and a smile trying to convey a "you're welcome". The nods only got more furious at the mention of him out for vengeance. He was never a vindictive person, but today his throat was hurting. Other than when the weather was really cold, this is the first time in a while he felt that and this meant that Ji-Soo was grumpy.

He gave Diachi a grateful smile for agreeing to go with him. Where would they start though, the people seemed to be running around all over campus. Though... Ji-Soo had remembered he was jumped the most when he had passed by the hallway next to the gym. Maybe that's where they were all gathered? "How about we head to the gym area first, I saw a lot of those scaring people there?" The words were written cramped into the bottom of the page as it had been filled up over the course of the conversation. Hopefully Daichi could read it.

[Daichi]

He more or less understood the emotions behind each nod. Nodding was pretty easy to understand though, more elaborate gesture would throw Daichi off. The taller male pulled up his backpack from the table and slipped it on. Then again the notepad appeared in front of him, he carefully read the squished handwriting at the bottom of the page."Oh the gym? I guess we should head that way then huh?" He stated simply.

The more the thought about it though the more he realized what a bad idea it was. So they were all the gym right? Surely there would be quite a few hanging out, more then two anyways. If Ji-soo were too reek havoc on them would they like stop scaring? Or would himself and Ji-soo be on a list of people to mess with for the next prank the scarers do? Maybe he was just over thinking it. Still the idea was there floating around in his head. Who knows? Ji-soo might be so terrifying that the scares dont ever mess with them again.

Daichi headed toward the library door, opened it, and held it open for his friend to pass through then he would promptly follow lead.

[Ji-Soo]

Ji-Soo gave Daichi a thankful smile for holding the door open; the other boy was so polite too it seems! The library had been all cleaned up and the only books or paper left over were in his own hands and the other teen’s backpack. Leaving behind a clean environment really put Ji-Soo at ease; but the ease didn’t last long at all.

The weird thing though was that on their way to the gym, things seemed……too quiet. Leaving the library, walking past the lunch-time crowded cafeteria and down the hallway beside the teacher’s office. Nothing. Where had all the scaring jerks that populated corner earlier that day gone to? Ji-Soo hadn’t seen hair or hide of a single one of them. He was wondering if Daichi had noticed at also. Regardless, this was starting to put the Korean boy on edge to the point that he didn’t attempt to write anymore in place of having both hands on the pad instead. He gripped his sketchpad tighter in his hands, muscles tensing for the slightly sign of movement. He must have looked completely paranoid, but if he was going to get his revenge, he was going to have to strike before “they” could get them.

As the door of the gym came into view, eyes swept one last time left and right, prepared for what was beyond that door.

[Daichi]

Daichi followed the teen and along. He really didn't notice at first how empty it all was. Maybe they just got lucky? Perhaps the scarers were just busy, or tired of this dumb game? As pleasant as those thoughts were he knew how, well, how unrealistic it was. However as they strolled along down the hallway did he really notice how bare it all was, and how an uneasiness sprouted in his stomach. He glanced over to Ji-soo, one look you could tell how on edge he was, which in turn made Daichi more nervous. He kinda wanted to say something maybe something encouraging? Then again it might be better to just say silent. A sudden statement might scare the other, forcing his mouth into a fine line he continued on.

As they approached the door Daichi's mind swirled with thoughts about back up plans. Mainly where they should run should things go sour, an Ji-soo's mighty pad isn't enough. It would have been a good idea for daichi to have weapon of his own; He had his backpack it was pretty heavy. He could always swing it at them if needed. Daichi would still take running over fighting though.

[Ji-Soo]

There they stood in front of the metal gym doors for a while. So this was it, wasn’t it? Ji-Soo had his sketchpad ready for this; ready to release his pent up anger that had been slowly building throughout the day. Yet, at the same time, he couldn’t help but be a little nervous. Something strange was going on here and a part of him wanted to warn Daichi and tell him to leave just in case; but a bigger part of him didn’t want to face the scarers alone. The smaller voices he had never seemed to win in these situations.

Shallowing his growing anxiety, Ji-Soo reached out a hand to place it on the metal door handle, hesitating only for a moment before sliding it open with loud clang. Inside was……actually nothing? The whole gymnasium was dimly lit, just enough to make out the outlines of everything, but there was no people in sight. Now this was definitely something-Before Ji-Soo could finish his thoughts, a large hand roughly pushed him and Daichi both inside the gym, already door slamming shut behind them with a soft click of the lock. Oh, this was bad.

[Daichi]

As soon as someone shoved Daichi inside he lost his balance and ended up face first on the ground. Lightly cursing under his breath as he push himself up. He quickly looked to Ji-soo to see if he was alright then he looked around at his surroundings. Ah, yes a dim gym truly a place Daichi absolutely no longer wanted to be. He didn't know what happened- Actually scratch that he knew he was just shoved inside the gym, and he also knew they may or may not be absolutely fucked. When the sound of sound of the lock hit Daichi's ears then he knew they were in some big trouble. He scrambled back to his feet.

Now standing back to two feet, " Ji-soo? You okay?" He paused looking around worryingly, and moving close to the other. " We are- in a bad way." He remarked at their current state. He wondered if they, the scarers, just wanted to trap them in here for the hell of it or it they had other plans.

[Ji-Soo]

Oh good, it seemed the other boy was okay. As he got up he gave Daichi a nod, but whether it was in answer to the first question or the second statement, Ji-Soo wasn't even sure himself. Quickly scrambling towards the door to try the handle, it only confirmed what both of them already knew; they had been locked in the gymnasium. Ji-Soo quickly moved back to the other boy trying to carve out a little sense of safety considering their situation.

So far, there didn't seem to be any other signs of life in the room itself. but it would be unwise to wait around and see if that was true. The gym's dim lighting didn't help either since it made communicating hard. Nonetheless, Ji-Soo took out his notepad and wrote out quickly. "Let's try 2 find our way out of here as soon as possible. Let's try the backdoor first?" He pushed the sketchpad forward and tried to give his most reassuring smile. He got them into this and would get Daichi out in one piece. Though, he never noticed the shadow by the equipment door.

[Daichi]

Watching Ji-soo try the door his hope diminished just a bit. He had partly hoped the locks on the gym locks were faulty and didn't lock all the way. But nope, 100% locked. Taking a in breath, he sighed. It could be worst, they could have shoved both him and Ji-soo into a small closet on the way here. He didn't care much for small spaces at all. Being stuck in the large gym wasn't the worst thing to happen. Still the eerie gym was you know, not great, but not as bad as it could be. Daichi quickly read the notepad; Granted he had to squint due to the dimness of his surroundings but nonetheless he could make out most of the words.

" Sounds good." Looking up to see the other boy's smile did put it at some ease, just a bit. But, uh where was the backdoor? Daichi wasn't really good at remembering at layouts of places he didn't really visit frequently. If this was the library he could find any book you needed, but the gym on the other hand... that was a different story. He waited for the other to head toward the backdoor, besides the fact he didn't know where to go, he also didn't want to get ahead of the other in case, something happened. Still on edge, Daichi gripped his bag strap, he could use his back pack as a weapon, right?
