Mitsuo frowned at first with the second-year's words, not liking the way he worded the whole idea that it was okay for people to make fun of something like that. But as the other talked a little more positively, the boy first blinked before a smile stretched across his face. By the end of it, the freckled boy beamed back at him, ending with a toothy grin and a vigorous nod at the other's words. "Yup! And there's nothing wrong with watching something like that!" he said with a grin. "After all, that's like preaching good habits you know? What's wrong with learning about bringing peace and encouraging friendships and stuff like that, right?" He laughed.
But he soon furrowed his eyebrows slightly at the other's words. Was he the only one then that really liked it? Still, the idea of him watching it with his family warmed his heart a little. A shared tradition with family! "Well that's good, isn't it!" he quipped with a bright smile. But as the other offered to give him a free meal, the boy's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh uh--" he began before a confused look settled on his face. "No no, I can't have that! I haven't done anything much!" And it was true, at least to him; he had only said things that he believed in, he didn't need to be treated to a meal to something that he strongly believed in!
But the lunch bell cut through his thoughts. "Oh man, wow, that was quick," he suddenly said, turning down the hallway as if that was where the bell was. He turned back quickly at the other's voice - before he blinked. And then gave a bright smile. Calling each other by their first names because they were friends?! Of course he would agree! "Yes! Yes of course!" he said with an enthusiastic nod. "I'll call you Yuki too then!" he grinned. "Now let's head to class!"
With that, he slung his arm over Yukiya and dragged him down the hallway with a laugh.
