I'm sorry, Suna-chan! I really wanted to hang out again!>

Suna looked blankly on her phone. She, of course, texted Chiyo that she'd be fine. It was just she was already at the park, waiting to hang out with an old friend who barely had free time. In fact, it was only because she sprained her ankle after a recent performance that they could hang out, and now it was the reason she couldn't see her too? Even though the both of them were under Faberge, Chiyo's popularity was skyrocketing and she barely saw the rookie idol these days.

Of course, she should just go home. But it'd taken her a while to get to the park, and it'd seemed like a waste of time to go there right now. But what to do? All she saw around her were people walking around, kids playing around, and no one she knew. Not that she knew many people. Today was supposed to be a day off, and now she had no idea how to enjoy it.

As she walked around, she passed by the stages that Faberge sometimes used for events. No one was using at the time.

"Wait, this is a day off..." she muttered to herself. But there she was, getting up on it, putting her Iphone's music on max. Well, no one was using it, right? And most people would be doing there own thing. She'd just face away from where the audience would be, and most people should ignore her.

She put up the song of one of her favorite groups. She'd been wanting to practice the dance for particular song for a while, since she didn't get to dance to any KPop groups at practice usually. And it was all rap. Which means if she accidentally sang the lyrics - which she did when she practiced at home in her room - it probably shouldn't ruin people's ears. Although her Korean pronunciation was pretty terrible. She should've learned the Japanese version...

At first, there weren't too many people around, looking. But once she did the chorus, she felt more people looking behind her. She was surprised to see a small crowd looking, so much she paused the music.

"Aww, neechan!" exclaimed a kid, "Can you start over?"

She felt herself getting red, but she steeled herself. It's not like she hadn't performed before...just, not out of dance recitals and Faberge events. The kid's eyes got to her, though, and she put down her phone after hitting play. She danced her ass off, as usual. This group was known for their choreography, and as a fan of theirs, and as a Faberge member, she wasn't just gonna give a half-hearted performance...even if more people kept crowding her...for some reason. Some of the kids even tried to dance with her. And some teenagers too. Seriously, didn't these people have better uses of their time...?

It was the weekend!

And Mitsuo wanted to explore everything there was in Otonoki!

Or rather, he tried to. He wanted to run out and walk around and see everything with his parents, but instead of doing it as they had planned just a day ago, his father was suddenly called back to his workplace for an urgent meeting. Normally his mother would entertain the boy's wishes if his father was unable to make it, but unfortunately the unexpected rain of last night had ruined all of their clothes, and she needed to deal with it immediately. In fact, Mitsuo would be more than glad to be offering his own assistance - he didn't like his mother dealing with laundry all by herself - but the woman insisted that he should go out like he had wanted to. After all, it was his first time in Otonoki, and he should go around exploring it like he always liked doing whenever he was in a new place.

...And that if he didn't, he wasn't going to get his mother's famous croquettes for dinner.

Mitsuo was out of the house without a moment's hesitation.

But now that he was, all he really was doing was simply walking without a goal in mind, his eyebrows furrowing as he thought about where to go. To be honest though, he wasn't really the kind of person who had a particular destination whenever he was out; often he and his parents would simply walk wherever the wind took them, without much of a plan in mind. It sometimes lead to them ending up in some shady areas...but it also just as often unearthed gems that they never would have if they had simply followed, say, a common tourist route. Sometimes Mitsuo would do it when he was out with friends...but he was much too new to Seiyo to really have anything to be called a 'friend' yet.

He sighed. Moving to a new place was harder than he thought it would be.

But the sound of music soon reached his ears - and he perked up, intrigued, wondering what it was. Somehow, he had managed to walk all the way the park without realising that he did. And, it looked like a lot of people were crowding around the stage for some reason...? What was going on? He had to know! Quickly he turned into the park, manoeuvring through the sea of people as he tried to get closer to the source. After much struggling he finally popped out into a clearing with a breath of relief - and found himself staring at a group of kids and teenagers all dancing together. Whoa, that was so cool! Were they putting on a performance or something? Who were they anyway? He couldn't help but laugh and clap his hands as they danced. This looked so fun!

"Hey, stop telling us to work so hard
My hands and feet, they're so so tired..."

Despite the lyrics of the song, Suna kept following the movements that she had practiced, while some other people were either trying to copy her or just doing their own dance. Either was fine with her. She was glad people were enjoying themselves for this impromptu performance. But how to make it more interesting?

Wait!

Near the end of the dance, there was a part where there was a small dance break where one of the members just did a solo part. Instead of her, maybe she could pick a random member of the audience. She saw something like that happen in one of the Faberge concerts, so why not do it here?

She almost cracked a grin, scanning for the perfect person as she got close to the part. And he found it in an audience member with lighter brown hair, clapping and laughing. He looked like he could be her age or a little older. He pointed to him, and gestured for him to come in front of her. Some people cheered. If he chose to come, she'd tell him to dance with her, and when the right moment came, she'd ask him to do a solo dance. And cheer him on. Even if he was the world's worst dancer, it should be entertaining...right?

Mitsuo was simply having fun just watching them all! He didn't recognise the song at all, but it didn't matter to him; it looked like they were having a fine mighty time and that was enough for the freckled boy! He clapped and laughed as they danced, encouraging them here and there with a little shout of his own.

But the freckled boy blinked when the female performer seemed to look around the crowd - and suddenly her eyes fell upon him. Oh okay, what was going on? Did he have something on his face? But he became even more confused when she pointed at him. And he stopped clapping, staring at her with a confused expression. Huh? Wait! Did she want him to come up and dance? Oh man, but he wasn't really any good at dancing! And he didn't know the song well either, so he had no idea how to do it even!

But people were cheering him on...and he couldn't very well betray their expectations. Besides, it could be fun right? They were all having so much fun dancing that Mitsuo wouldn't mind doing it too! Maybe it would all go okay. Taking in a deep breath, he walked on forwards, to where the female performer was. He looked to her expectantly, hoping for her to take the lead. And as she did so, he did his best; following her as much as he could. He definitely wasn't any good at it, missing cues and moves and overall looking a little lost. But hey! He was managing to keep up - partly - and it was beginning to become rather fun!

Unsurprisingly, he wasn't any good, but the point was that people were cheering him on as he tried his best. Thankfully the the song ended right after this part, so she finished up the dance. A lot of them were still laughing and clapping, so she thought she did a job well done!

"Thank you guys!" she said. But she blanked out at what else to say. This was a very impromptu performance after all. She searched her thoughts, and remembered there was an event coming up where she was supposed to go up on stage again. "If you wanna see more dancing like this, please come next Saturday to the Faberge's underground stage. We'll be holding a charity variety show, featuring the lovely Chiyo-chan as our main event!" She tried to smile and sound happy, but it was hard to really feel like that when she was winging it and not used to announcing things like this. Still, some people seemed to take note as the crowd dispersed.

To her chosen audience member, she bowed deeply to him. "You were really great out there. Thank you for cooperating with me," she said, getting her long hair out of her face as she got up. She picked up her things, but the day was still young. ...now what was she going to do?

But then her stomach growled. Quite loudly at that.

"...ah," she said, turning away from the boy to hide her face - and look up any close by fast food place.

Mitsuo was definitely terrible at dancing, but the cheers of the audience simply encouraged him, and so he did his best copying the female performer with much gusto. He soon did his own little impromptu changes, with a rather energetic flair, though they seemed rather out of place with the dance and song itself, but it was clear he was having so much fun doing it! As the song ended, he too stopped, panting, sweating from it all. Wow, that was awesome!

He simply smiled at the girl as she addressed the audience, clapping with the rest as she spoke to them. The only words he picked out though, were Faberge and charity variety show. Who was Chiyo-chan? Mitsuo wasn't really big on idols; sure he thought some of them were cute, but he was far more likely to flip to cooking channels than anything involving idols and dancers and all of that sort. Still, he thought the girl was pretty cool with her dancing!

"O-oh!" he said, suddenly becoming immensely self-conscious when she bowed deeply to him. She didn't need to do that! After, she was the one who caught the crowd's eye; Mitsuo only danced just for the fun of it! "Don't mention it!" he said, smiling brightly. "I'll rather congratulate you though! You were really awesome out there!" Mitsuo couldn't dance, so anyone who could was amazing to him!

But the sound of a growl cut through his thoughts.

Mitsuo blinked at her. And blinked. And blinked. Before a chuckle soon came out of him; turning into a full-fledged guffaw. Oh man that was hilarious! Vaguely, somewhere at the back of his mind, he knew it was rude, and she might probably smack him or something, but it was just way too funny! He hadn't expected such female performer such as her to emit a sound like that! "I-I'm sorry!" he said, struggling between peals of laughter. "It was just-! Just too funny!"

But his stomach growled too. Much louder than hers.

He clutched immediately at his abdomen, red colouring his face. Well, he probably deserved that for laughing at her. Um. "Want to grab lunch together?" he asked, still a little embarrassed. "I'm sure there's lots of food around the park." Oh wait, he should introduce himself first at least. "I'm Mitsuo by the way. Takahashi Mitsuo. You?"

This guy was more polite than she was expecting, but maybe that's what happened when most people around her at Faberge were trying to get people's attention anyway. It was nice to get a compliment though, enough that she smiled just a bit. "It could've been better. I haven't had time to practice this particular dance. But thank you," she said. She really needed to get better at sounding more grateful for things like this, didn't she...

And she needed to hide her hunger better too. It didn't help that he laughed, but she did purposely not eat beforehand because she was thinking she'd be eating with her friend. Once she recovered and found a decent place on her phone to go, she was just going to say her goodbyes, when the other guy's stomach growled too. She snorted. It was a small yet satisfying revenge.

Although, she seemed a bit thrown off when he asked her to go to lunch with him. "But you don't even...know..." she started, when he suddenly introduced herself. He...he didn't seem like he had bad intentions, and it'd be around here, so if something happened, she could just run, right? She patted the phone in her shorts pocket as some form of reassurance. "Ah. I'm Minamoto Sunako, but just call me Suna. And sure. Um, I googled around here and found a burger place. Is that okay?"

Mitsuo blinked at the other before tilting his head to the side in thought. He thought she did it well enough already, maybe she was one of those extreme perfectionists or something - or was it simply his lack of talent in anywhere near dancing or singing? Then again, he didn't really know what was 'good' dancing anyway; to him, as long as it was fun and you were following the rhythm, then it would all turned out a-okay! "I thought it was still pretty good though!" he said grinning. He expressed another bout of surprise at the girl's words. "And the fact that you didn't practice much at all - I mean wow, and you could still pull it off too! That's kind of amazing!"

"Oh," the freckled boy said - before he shrugged a little. Now that he thought about it, it was strange to suddenly invite someone out for lunch all of a sudden after they danced. But it was precisely because they had shared a moment that made the girl kind of friends in his eyes! And besides, the girl was hungry! "Well, I just thought that since you're hungry and I'm hungry, then why not?" He grinned at the other - it was a rather childish way of drawing conclusions, but Mitsuo didn't think it was anything bad.

"Hello Suna, it's nice to meet you!" he said, smiling brightly back at her. But he soon paused at her mention of a burger place - and his eyes lit up. "A burger place? Sure!" he said rather enthusiastically. He hadn't had much time to sample most of the food around, so to go to one so soon was completely exciting! "Where is it?"

She smiled a little and scratched his cheek. He was really cheerful, almost overbearingly so, for someone she just met. When she looked at other dancers she just felt at part or even a little less than her level. But probably from his point of view, she was decent? Maybe she just had to think about it like that. "Er, well...I have been dancing for a while. Anyone could do it with enough time."

Before she could second guess herself, she concentrated on the matter at hand. Food. She was still a bit hesitant, but why not. He was kind of sunny, and she could really use a break with someone like that? That's how she rationalized it, anyway. She really just hoped this wasn't a prank or a joke. What a waste of time if it was.

"Oh.." she said. She did say to call her Suna, but it felt really cozy already that it threw her off. But she didn't bother to correct him, more concerned about getting them both a place to eat. "It should be across the street from the park, but apparently they have 'Otonoki's Biggest Burger' and if you eat the whole thing in thirty minutes you get a t-shirt and your picture on their wall. If someone takes the challenge when we go, it'd be funny to watch, right?" she said, laughing quietly. Her dad would've taken the challenge if he knew about it. "Besides that, they have good reviews for all their other stuff, so let's go there."

And without really saying much else, she headed there, expecting him to follow...? Hopefully he wasn't vegetarian or anything.

The boy seemed to pause, mulling over the other's words - before shrugging. "I guess," he said, waving it dismissively. "Dance practice sounds so daunting though...I'm amazed you can keep up with it!" He didn't know that much about dancing or anything, so he was really basing off the limited knowledge he knew through the media. "I wouldn't be able to do it myself." He shrugged. Then again, he wasn't really interested in these sorts of things. Wasn't dancing like...stepping to the rhythm or something? It sounded awfully restraining for him, so he would rather not go near it.

"Oh hey," he suddenly started, looking at Suna. "Might be an odd question, but are you from Otonoki?"

He simply nodded as the other explained where the burger joint was, following along. But when she mentioned the challenge, Mitsuo paused and stared at her weirdly - before a wide grin broke across his face. "A challenge eh?" he said, smirking. That sounded like fun! The freckled boy had a fairly large appetite, so this would be a cinch, no problem! Besides, he loved food and what better way to sample Otonoki's dishes than a big whooping helping like that? "There's no need to search for anyone to do it, because I'm going to do it!" he said confidently, as he pointed at himself with a wink. "Come on, let's go!" he soon said, walking briskly as if to hurry her along.

"If you really want something, you should just go for it. That's what I think," she said nonchalantly. "Ah, but...I suppose that's not what you'd really want to do. Still, thank you for going along with what I did."

She walked ahead more, when he asked her if she was from here. "Oh...yeah. I think most people are? I've lived here all my life. Why, are you new here?" He did look a little more tanned than most people, but that might just be because he did sports or something.

But to think he would also offer to take the challenge. "You sure you can afford it, though? You have to pay for it if you don't finish. But if you are, I won't stop you." Seriously, the way he lit up and smiled at the sound of food..was she looking at her dad 2.0? It'd only work if he finished the food though. Soon enough the two were in the burger joint, and seated quickly. Suna pulled up the menu, and on the first page, bam, there was the ad for their huge burger. Was there ...seven patties? And fries in that burger? And drenched in mayo and 5 different kinds of cheeses? Just looking at it gave her a heart attack, she she went to look for a salad instead.

"Welcome to Doki Doki Burger, home of Otonoki's Biggest Burger! Are you guys ready to order?" asked a cheerful server. Suna pointed to a cobb salad and some water. Was Mitsuo really gonna do the challenge...?

Mitsuo paused for a while just to take in what he said, before he gave a single nod. That made sense. "That's not a bad thing to go by," he said, grinning. She was right though; he wasn't really interested in dancing.

He gave another nod at the other's answer though when she returned the question to him, he seemed to pause again before giving the girl a sheepish smile. "Ah yeah," he said, giving a slightly anxious smile. Remembering that he was basically an immigrant to Otonoki made him feel a little self-conscious. After all, it was a decision made out of necessity, not because they really wanted to move here. But his smile soon returned to it's bright nature, as if the uneasiness was only a fleeting ghost. "I just moved here about a....weekish ago!" he said, flashing her a grin. "It's quieter than where I used to live." He laughed a little.

But Suna didn't seem to believe him! He gave a huff, miffed at the other's lack of confidence in him. "I know that!" he said, before pointing at himself in a determined manner. "I'll totally finish it!" he declared. He had a large appetite, he knew he could! And he was going to show her the moment they got to the store! As they arrived at the burger joint, he couldn't help but rock on his heels a little in excitement. And his eyes lit up even further the moment they were handed the menu. There it was! Right on the cover! And...well that was certainly a lot of ingredients in the burger, but he totally could finish it! It looked hella good too!

With an enthusiastic flair, he slapped his hand onto the large burger right on the front, grinning back at the server. "One of this please!" he said enthusiastically. He soon turned to Suna, frowning at her slightly but still with a good-hearted smile on his face. "Is that really all you're gonna eat?" he asked, half-jokingly. Even if his order was large by comparison, there was no way Mitsuo could survive just on salad and water.

[Sunako]

"Huh. Welcome to Otonoki then. ...you're right, though. It's pretty quiet outside of all the Faberge events." She wasn't really sure what else to say besides that. A guy like him sounded like he could make his own fun, though.

She smiled seeing that he really was gonna try. "So you're a foodie? Or a eating champion? You're pretty interesting," she said. As Otonoki was a quiet place, it was nice to see people with so much energy. Suna could only reserve her energy for the stage.

The waitress came over, and was surprised that the other man ordered their burger right off the bat. "Hey boys, we have a challenger!" she yelled back to the chefs, who clapped, "Give them some time. We'll get our timers ready." She went to take other orders.

As for Suna, she just shrugged. "I try not to eat a lot, personally, unless I know I'll be dancing for a while. Then I stock up on some protein rich foods...some carbs...all easy to get at home," she said. She stopped talking for a bit after, looking at her phone, but really just not sure what to say. She had to think of something! He was new, right? "...uh...what school are you going to? You wouldn't happen to be going to Seiyo?"

"Faberge events?" the boy repeated, looking back at Suna in a quizzing manner. Faberge...Faberge...where had he seen that name before...Oh! "You mean that black and yellow building out in town?" he asked, blinking. He had passed by it on one of his walks in town with his parents; and had thought it an incredibly intimidating building, with all of that black and gray paint on it. "Oh yeah, come to think of it, you did mention that name too, back in the park."

Mitsuo gave a toothy grin at the girl's question, his hands on his hips as he did so. "Of course I'm both!" he said with utmost conviction. Well technically, he was more of a foodie than an eating champion...and that half of the time he failed the challenges - but hey, the other didn't need to know that! "Don't you think it's way cool how there's soooooooo many types of food out there? And all kinds of cuisines? And even like - like even the same dish would be cooked different depending on which region you're in?!" His eyes shone at the idea; he was already salivating thinking of all the foods that he could get to taste! "It is totally my life's dream to taste every single food there is in the world!" Well, okay, not really his life's dream - but the feelings were close enough.

The freckled boy only grinned back at the waiter when she yelled back at the other staff in the burger joint, nodding once at the girl's comment. He soon turned his attention back to Suna. "Oh, I see," he said, though it was really more of a neutral acknowledgement than anything else. Mitsuo could never survive on a limited diet - and there was no way in hell he was watching what he was eating when there was so much food to taste! "Man, that sounds really hard," he said, pulling a grimace. "I wouldn't be able to do that. Why are you doing that anyway? Are you like on a diet or something?" he asked, bluntly.

He blinked at the other's words, before an excited grin stretched over his face. "Do you go to Seiyo too?!" was his enthusiastic response. What were the chances of meeting yet another Seiyo student out on the park?! "Me too! I'm in the second-year though, what about you?"

"Faberge is an entertainment company that's home to many idols and other kinds of performance artists. ...I'm part of the company, so I try to promote their events when I can," she added, though she wondered if it sounded a little selfish or promotional. "I hope you at least try to watch one event."

She tilted her head. "Really. I hope you prove yourself then," she said. She wasn't sure if he was really able to do this, but as she said earlier, she'd be entertained watching someone doing it. But as he spoke more about food, she was starting to think he was more of the former. "I, uh..." she started. "I do like trying out different regional food when I travel outside this part of Japan. For example, when I visit my cousin in Kyoto, we usually go to this area where we dine right about a river. I had their famous tofu and vegetable dishes there," she said. She remembered almost losing a slipper in said river, but he didn't need to know that, right? "What are we known for...the only food I know is my dad's shoyu pork..."

She scratched her head about her diet. "Oh, well, I just...need to keep my figure," she said. "I'm a dancer, after all. I'm supposed to care about my looks."

She did miss the days where she could eat more of her dad's cooking, though.

"Ah, yeah, I do. I'm in 2-B. Do you know what class you're in?" she asked. She wondered how long this burger would be...she sure it'd be a while.
