It's only been a few days since he started with Faberge. He's taking steps to live out his idol dream. Well, to be fair, it's a pretty recent dream. He never thought his voice would get him anywhere, but it seems like he had hidden talent all along. He's one through several image changes in the course of just a few months, that he's been struggling to find his identity altogether. When he sang at the park, it's like he's letting the entire world know that he was just pitching up his voice and trying so hard to be cute. He continued to accept it as his way of life for a while before receiving a wake up call.

Shun's finally stepping into the limelight for a recording today. And when he arrived, Sasaki-san was already there. So she's...Supervising. Hmmmm...He hasn't really got a chance to talk to her at all since the day he helped Yasuko steal that journal of hers. Who could forget that, anyway? While he didn't take a peek at it, there must be some sort punishment for helping, right? Anyway, he'll just quietly walk in and hope she doesn't bring it up. He wondered about what happened to Yasuko, though? Everybody in Faberge seems to idolize Sasaki-san for whatever reason. Shun on the other hand? He took up the chance to join very recently and isn't really sure about what they see in her. He's just doing this for himself. How odd.

Wait, so he's not alone today? Is there someone else in the recording room with Sasaki-san? Hmmmm....

Yasuko wasn't entirely sure if she liked this situation.

Okay scratch that, she really really didn't like this situation.

Honestly, she didn't expect to be anywhere near a recording booth, considering the kind of work she was doing in Faberge. In fact, all she thought she was ever going to do was write stories, or poems, or screenplays - or you know, basically anything that was tied to works on paper rather than anything related to idol work. But instead, her time at Faberge was interjected with all kinds of things that weren't at all associated with writing; aside from the usual Egg-related activities, she had been roped into dancing and lip-syncing for another idol, and now she was here attempting voice work. Really, her Faberge life was nothing like all she had imagined it would be.

Though really, why was she here at the recording booth?

Because someone insisted that she should be here. Well, actually, in hindsight, they didn't insist at all - more like it was a suggestion.

'Yasuko,' a staff member had called, motioning at her to sit down in the chair opposite him. In his hand was her latest work; titled simply as 'family', and she had been tasked then, to write from the viewpoint of someone else. As the first-year sat across from him, the man seemed a little troubled before he began to speak. He pointed towards the her writing - it was a 5 paged piece, neatly stapled in one corner - in his hand, saying that there was an improvement in her sentence structure and vocabulary; and her pieces have become much more vivid in terms of descriptions. 'But,' he soon said, laying it back down on the table. 'I can't feel the character.'

Yasuko had only stared at the paper then, blinking as her mind processed these words. He had sighed before continuing. 'You know I have mentioned it before,' he said, tapping onto her work. 'Writing, singing, the arts - you need to be able to connect with your audience. The best way to do that is make them feel something. But...' He paused. 'The way you write is rather dry. And I haven't really seen much improvement in that area, despite how much work you have done.'

There was a pause, as he furrowed his eyebrows as if he was in thought. Yasuko had simply stared back down at the table, her hands tightly gripping each other. She knew - a part of her knew that it had been a flaw of hers all along, but...she never wanted to admit it. That her work lacked feeling; lacked the ability to connect with its audience. It didn't help that she had been stressing out over everything that had happened at Tanabata, and she simply didn't know how to make her work sound more...exciting. Less dry. She knitted her eyebrows together. Was he going to give up on her or something? But he suddenly perked up, seemingly as if an idea had formed in his head. 'Why don't we do this,' he said, leaning forward. 'Perhaps you can try writing a new piece of this same character," he tapped at her work on the table again before resuming. 'But this time, I want you to really get into them. Think about what makes them tick. How they would feel.'

'And I want you to voice act it out.'

Yasuko whipped her head up, surprise written all over her features.

'What?'

So here she was, at the recording booth, holding a new piece in her hands, blinking as she tried to get...in-character so to speak. And really, what a character it had to be. Of all the characters, it had to be one that vastly different from her - a young girl that was quiet and mellow, and had lost their parents to war, but did their best to see the positives in their lives. Clinging on to the memories of their parents so as to move on forward. 

Actually, she didn't dislike that. Sure, it was a bit of a annoyance and she was definitely struggling, but voice acting for her own character was kind of exciting in a certain way. Even if she likely sucked at it.

Really what she didn't like had nothing to do with the recording booth.

It was the fact that she needed to be accompanied by none other than Sasaki Hana herself.

"Uhh...." she flipped through her own work. She was doing her absolute best not to make eye contact. After everything that had happened, it was really bad luck that she had to be near her right about now. In fact, she was pretty sure she was making her annoyed or disappointed or the like; because she was barely able to get into this character at all. Gosh, she couldn't act to save her life. "Umm...Marie walked up to the door of the shop, pressing her fingers together. She wondered if they would hire her. "Hello?" she called (and Yasuko did her best to sound high-pitched and feminine - which came out completely unnatural because she had gone too high). She waited before she called again. "I'm here for a job."" Wow that was dry and boring. Apparently she sucked at narrating too.

She was about to try again had the door not opened - and she blinked, turning her head a little to see who it was.
