Hearts For Healing
+ Description: There’s a rumor around town of a small boy who can apparently heal your heart. Upon finding him, you see he’s actually being followed by a mass of X-eggs, and that his ‘healing’ is stealing Heart’s Eggs entirely! What will you do?

If there was one thing words can do, it was get around. Among the student body a rumor had spread around about a young boy able to heal hearts. Of course, Daichi wasnt really sold on that idea, as much as he wanted to be. Apart of him wanted to believe it was true and there was nothing to worry about, but he still wanted to check it out for himself. What kind of hero would he be if he didn't make sure? Walking around town he and his guardian character, Taiki, kept their eyes peeled for any activity. Daichi had recently left the infirmary a few days ago on his own accord. He had enough rest and was in pretty okay shape. That didn't stop Taiki from asking him for the millionth time the same question. " Are you sure you're okay Dee-Dee?" 

" Taiki I'm fine-" Daichi voiced as he turned a corner to enter the park. Taiki puffed out his cheeks as he circle his egg holder. " You always say you're fineeee." He whined, " Try not to over do it if we do run into something though okay?" 

" I promise." The teen said quickly. Wandering further into the park past a few benches-- And only then did he sense something- Negative. No doubt about it something bad was brewing here. The feeling pressed into the back of his mind. How familiar. Daichi looked around, he was tense, but he didn't see anything a first. The male did spot a few other people in the park none of them seemed to be source of the negative energy though. " Taiki."Daichi called to his egg. Within a instant he was transformed into the Written Hero. 

Scanning the area again, this time he did see a boy poking his head around a tree. Negative energy seemed to come from him. Was that the same boy from the rumors?

In between study sessions, one could always use some quiet time. Well, if that ‘quiet’ involved a super hyper guardian character pissing you off with her overexcited remarks. “WAAAHHH These flowers are soooo red!” Kong-Ji floated around some poppies, saying hi and giving hugs and kisses to each and every one of them. Ji-Yoo rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. That was why she preferred to have Kong-Ji inside her egg most of the time. The first year couldn’t deal with this nonsense of a guardian.

The mood was so bad whenever the two were together. And today it felt especially so. What was all this negative aura? Ji-Yoo didn’t have too much experience but it seemed to be a sign of x activity. “ Kong-Ji…” She mumbled, scooping her guardian who was still busy greeting flowers. What should she do? Ji-Yoo was too afraid to get into a fight alone.

Upon looking around, the girl spotted a boy.. who just character transformed? Wait, Ji-Yoo could swear she knew the guy. He was the one who dealt with the dangerous egg-breaker who came to Seiyo some time ago. She remembered clearly how he did just the same thing as now- he character transformed as soon as he saw the guy. Speaking of reckless… and besides, wasn’t he supposed to be really hurt?

Ji-Yoo didn’t know whether she should say or do something. She didn’t actually know the guy and if he got in danger it would be none of her business. But she seemed to be the only one around and if he really was hurt, then she couldn’t just leave like that, could she?

“AHH ONIICHAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING? HURTING A CHILD?” Kong-Ji screamed. Clearly she had been more attentive than Ji-Yoo, spotting the little boy in the bushes.

The negative energy seemed to almost wrap itself around the young boy, a dull and expressionless look on his face. It almost looked as if he wasn't entirely all there, standing in place in what seemed to be a daze. A few black eggs speckled around behind him, switching place between one another as they seemed to be whispering to each other. A giggle here and there, though it didn't get much of a reaction out of the boy.

His eyes were downcast, a large thick book cradled in his arms tightly as if in fear it might fall at any moment. Whatever was in the book, he did not want to lose.

His head swung around to look at Ji-yoo and Daichi, a sour frown on his face as his small eyes locked onto the two students. He took a few steps back, tightening his grasp onto the book. A few eggs followed him, hovering around closely.

[Daichi]

Daichi jumped being called out from afar by someone- Looking over he saw the girl, where had he seen her before? Oh, She was there when the boy from west Oto. came to Seiyo, though he can't recall her doing anything notable.

He saw her guardian with her, he wondered if they would join him or not. Apart of him hoped they did, but at the same time didn't want to put them in any danger. Turning back to the child he drew stepped forward. Glancing at the eggs, he kept an eye on them very carefully but not aiming to cure them just yet. Crouching down he tried to get eye level with the smaller boy. Giving him most of the attention." Hey Champ." Daichi started softly.

Looking at the boys book he pointed at it. " Do you like to read?" He prompted the other. "Is it a good book?" The hero smiled kindly.

“You little pest!” Ji-Yoo almost screamed, but doing so in this situation would probably make things worse so she stopped herself. She also made sure to cover Kong-Ji’s mouth to prevent further unnecessary noise. “We’re leaving.” The first year stated simply. Seeing how she was ignored, the guy probably didn’t need her around. He was one of those powerful sempais anyway, she’ll just be a noob and get in the way, probably. Besides, she didn’t feel like fighting x-eggs. There was a reason why she fled the infirmary at that time.

“B-but Ji-Yoo chan! We can’t leave that little boy alone!” Kong-Ji managed to release herself and looked at Ji-Yoo with her puppy eyes, hoping to convince her to stay. She knew that her charms didn’t work but it was worth a try…? “ No. I said we’re leaving and that’s that.” Ji-Yoo was pretty keen on not getting involved. All that x-energy was affecting her more than she would have liked. Her mental state wasn’t very settled to begin with.

Kong-Ji had other plans though. She usually didn’t dream of doing things without her human’s consent, but this time it was different. There was a child involved. What if he got hurt? “Please forgive Kong-Ji” She mumbled right before character changing Ji-Yoo.

Huh? What was that? She knew the feeling but… did that little troublemaker even dream of doing this against her will? What should have come out as ‘I want to go!!’ sounded more like “I have to stay”. Ji-Yoo, now equipped with fluffy cotton ears and tail, skipped over to where the two boys were. She looked over Daichi’s shoulder and offered the younger one a smile. “Hello~”

The young boy continued to eye them both, taking yet another few steps back cautiously as his guard reminded up. He'd glimpse at his book almost as if for some sort of reassurance or bit of courage to look back at the older kids. While the older boy did not come off as menacing....his outfit was peculiar and the girl...was loud. He didn't like it.

He kept his eyes downcast, looking off to the side as he finally managed to respond. "What do you want...." He mumbled softly, no effort put into the sentence. "Do you want to be healed too..." He asked, glancing at them for a few moments before quickly looking away sheepishly.He squeezed at the book in his arms, biting his lip slightly as if he threatened to break into tears.

"I don't wanna..."

[Daichi]

" No we aren't here for you to heal our hearts. We want to make sure you're okay." The Hero spoke gently. Daichi moved to sit on the ground rather then crouch, both hands in plain view free of any weapon or shield. He wanted to offer peace and kindness and not fight the boy's eggs just yet. " You don't wanna? Well you dont have to do anything you dont want to do, okay?"

He looked over to the girl out of the corner of his eye, she just joined them moments earlier. So she was character changed, hers seemed a bit happy at least if her tone of voice was anything to go by. Eyes settled back to the small boy. " Say, are your parents around?" Maybe he was lost and clinging to the only thing he knew, which was his book. " Should we find them for you?"

An idea formed in the back of his head though it was a poor idea with a fifty/ fifty chance of failing or working. He had a magic trick up his sleeve. Either the boy would like it or he wouldn't. He held onto the idea but didn't actually offer it to the small boy just yet.

Oh? Heal their hearts? What was the boy talking about? Ji-Yoo could vaguely remember hearing a rumor like that, but then again, she didn’t believe in rumors, so at that time she just shook it off as someone’s desperate attempt to get some attention. Apparently, it was true. If it were a legit method , maybe Ji-Yoo could use some of that healing power for herself since she’d been a little out of it lately (okay, maybe ‘a little’ is an understatement). But instead the boy seemed to use x-energy or something, and Ji-Yoo had had enough of it. She’d have wanted to leave so much but character change was in her way.

“Hmmm, so you’ve been healing people’s hearts all along? It must’ve been hard on you.” No wonder the boy seemed so down, gathering all that pent up negative energy from everyone he met. “Perhaps you’re the one who needs his heart healed.” Dang, Ji-Yoo couldn’t believe these words were coming out of her mouth. No matter how many times she character changed, she wouldn’t get used to all that cringey way of speaking. “Or maybe do you want to touch my ears. They’re really fluffy!”

"B-but I have to....t-they said so..." He looked up at Daichi expectantly, as if hoping the older boy would get it. He just had to. It wasn't a choice, even if he didn't want to. There wasn't a choice. His bottom lip pushed out as he started to shake slightly, the tears emerging from the corners of his eyes as he sniffled. "I hafta..."

"Momma and Papa...." He shook his head. "Just Big Sister. Big Sister Nanami takes cake of me...she's very strong..but she's so tired....I don't wanna....I don't wanna upset Big Sister." He shook his head, rejecting Daichi's idea about returning to his guardian. He'd only cause more trouble for his older sister and she was already so stressed as it was and he'd only gone and made it worse already...

He glanced over at the girl, eyeing the ears admittedly a bit curiously. She wasn't wrong...they were fluffy. A few quiet moments would pass before he sheepishly gave her a nod, accepting her offer.
