The Heart’s Egg
+ Description: There’s a book on campus about all this egg business… it’d help you out a lot if you could find it to learn about everything. It might be in the library, or left in a common room; someone else might be looking for it though, or maybe you could look for it with a friend--maybe a friend even already knows about it and its whereabouts!

Guardian Characters huh?

Yasuko peeked into the library, staying close near the doors so that she wouldn't be spotted by the librarian. It was the end of the school day; classes had already finished, and clubs had began, all of its students packing up their bags either to go home or engage in extracurricular activities. Yasuko would be one of the "going home" group if not for the fact that she had something big to do today.

The past few days had been extremely eventful, if not borderline crazy. In just a single month, she not only had a whole new school and new life to deal with, there's now all of this Guardian Eggs and Guardian Characters making it go upside down! Honestly she didn't even know such things existed - until rather conveniently timed events. Her roommate had one; a rather loud boisterous pirate thing that had laughed at her when she screamed at it and that third-year who had a thief looking one who found it way fun to appear out of nowhere into her borrowed camcorder. Seriously Yasuko would start questioning her sanity if not the fact that there were others who could indeed see them too.

Glancing back at her school bag, she contemplated taking her own Egg out. It was packed inside, nestled between her soft pencil bag and a handkerchief that she had wedged in between it and her books. Even if she was skeptical about the whole thing, the egg still looked fragile; so she figured that she should make sure it had some soft padding amongst all of her books. Or maybe it would be safe leaving it at her dorm room. But the idea of Paii - her roommate's Guardian Character - being there all alone with her egg sounded like a recipe for disaster. So she brought it along.

Minji had mentioned something about a book; a book about all of these Guardian Characters and Eggs and whatnot. That was supposedly somewhere in the school. Yasuko wasn't sure exactly where it was, but if it was a book, it should be somewhere in the library right?

Except she didn't know exactly where it was in a library. And something as big as this schools library was going to take a lot of time to find it. Yasuko liked researching but trying to find a book without knowing how sounded like finding a needle in a haystack. And sounded incredibly frustrating.

She sighed. She should get some kind of strategy first before she did anything and look like a fool out there. Though she should probably do it soon; people were already giving her weird looks for standing outside the library seemingly doing nothing.

All this effort for some information.

It was in the library that one could find all sorts of books. Bad books, good books, sad books, happy books, and books to learn things from. One such book that existed to learn something from was one about the guardian characters and the eggs they are born from. If Tsukiko could find it she would discover Rosary's origins. The idea of an egg being born from her heart actually terrified her and made her worry about her health.

Some time after classes were over and students bustling with their loud excited voices. Some returning home or to the dorms. Others going to club activities. Tsukiko herself was in a club but she was sure that it was a rather casual one. It was very tiny after all. Only her and her senpai. "The library is um..." As she searched for the right direction to take to get to the library she yawned into her hand.

"Mm... I wonder if it's allowed to join more than one club. I wanted to see if they have a track club... Ehehehe maybe I could be a fast runner!" This display of cheerfulness accidently attracted attention towards herself and she soon panicked. Damn it! Tsukiko quickly ran away from the eyes and crashed into someone's back. Luckily she found the library at least. "I-I-I-I'M SORRY!!" Her brain didn't get a chance to register how loud her voice should be and she ended up shouting.

Yasuko stood and pondered by the side of the library, her arms folded across her chest, with a finger tapping lightly at rest. She still didn't quite know how to find it. All her roommate had mentioned was a book, but not its title and certainly not where in the library she could find it. What kind of title it would have? Egg? Or maybe Eggs of Guardians! The first year wanted to laugh there and then at her own joke; though she settled for a chuckle, as she wasn't at all keen about people thinking she was a crazy person. Though they probably were already thinking she was weird for standing outside the entrance without once going in.

"Maybe I could ask the librarian..." the young girl muttered, scratching her head. Though, she was sure that he - or she, whoever they were, she didn't know who was the librarian today - would certainly give her a strange look for not being able to tell them any defining features of said book. And probably would look at her even more weirdly if she mentioned anything about the Guardian Characters or the Eggs or something. Hahahaha.

Yasuko would've continued down her train of thoughts, if not for something that had suddenly crashing into her back. "WAH!"

Unable to stabilise herself after the impact, the girl fell flat on her face, hitting her forehead on the floor below. It wasn't a strong enough impact to cause a concussion certainly, but it definitely did sting. Her bag hit the ground with a thump; she had properly fastened it this time and it had luckily prevented its contents from spilling out on the floor. Sprawled out on the floor, it took her a while to get up to a sitting position, her hand on her forehead to nurse the pain, just as the other person cried out a really loud apology. "Ow..."

Her head hurting from the fall, she turned her head slowly to glare at the person who had crashed into her. It seemed to be a student - a female one from the looks of things, what with the pleated skirt and all - with long black hair tied up in...buns? Well, she didn't really quite question such things, but she thought such hairstyles were strange. Then again, her worldview was so straight and narrow that anything other than the so-called 'normal' and usual hairstyles would be considered odd to her. "What did you do that for?!" Yasuko seethed at the other girl, though the anger was less than usual, due to the stinging pain on her temple. It was already becoming red. "Honestly, watch where you're going next time!"

Oh lord. Look what she did. Tsukiko felt the sweat start to form on her face and her nerves started getting into a huge panic. If she hadn't been so clumsy and paid more attention to where she was going, maybe she could have prevented this all from happening. Well, it was more certain than a maybe. She definitely would not have let this happen if she had been. "I-I'm so sorry. I-I was um! Y-You're absolutely right miss!" Leave it to Tsukiko to make a horrible first impression on a stranger.

"I really really didn't mean to bump into you. Um, it's just that I was in a rush to get away and uh..." Wait that wasn't right either. Tsukiko was making things very confusing for this girl, wasn't she? But then again why was this girl just standing here? Wouldn't it make sense for someone to bump into somebody that was just standing in the doorway? Wasn't it common sense to not do things like that?

"..... Um if you don't mind me asking." She bent forward and reached her hand out to this stranger who seemed scary and possibly a bit airheaded? "Why are you standing in the doorway of the library? I-Isn't it really bad to block doorways? Um by bad I mean dangerous." She giggled trying to make the tension between them melt away. "Aren't you kinda in the way?" If it sounded rude, Tsukiko didn't mean for it to. The skittish girl was just trying to make a joke of this entire situation. If she didn't she was sure she'd start sweating extra hard bullets.

Yasuko raised an eyebrow, looking at the other girl skeptically. What was this girl babbling on about? Is she one of those nervous type characters with the usual quirk of frantically stuttering and jabbering whenever they end up in a potentially embarrassing situation? Like one of those characters in a high school novel? What next? She already met the teasing jerk of a senior, a potentially tomboy character and was nearly in a high school horror story. Now she had a bump encounter, with an injury (of sorts) to boot! How many checks should she get?

...Actually she should stop comparing her life to a writing genre.

Pressing onto her temples for the last time, in the hopes that a final hard rub would make the stinging pain go away, she took another look at the student before her. The single pin on her uniform caught her eye - so she was also a first-year. Probably someone who wasn't in her class, for she was fairly certain that she would've been able to recognise those buns if she had been.

The other girl's questions though made Yasuko glare at her so hard as if trying to wound her in some way.

"What?" was Yasuko's immediate response. "I was not standing in the doorway! Were you blind? I was right beside it!" Technically, either way, she was close enough to the door to have some sort of human accident, but apparently those kinds of technicalities was something Yasuko did not want to bother with. Standing up, she brushed dust off of her clothes. "I was just about to go in before you crashed into me! And besides," She pointed her index finger at the girl before her. "If you want to talk about dangerous, then how about you? You were running in the hallways! Not only is that against the rules, isn't that more dangerous than someone 'potentially'" - she had to air-quote the word, because she was that insistent that she wasn't in the way - "standing in the doorway of the library? For all you know, you could've bump into someone with was carrying hot food! Or even someone with a sports injury!"

This strange girl kind of gave off the feeling of hot sauce. This girl Tsuiko did not know and probably would have never taken into account in her life was like hot sauce only hardcore spicy lovers could handle. Tsukiko who was mostly into sweets such as cupcakes, cheesecakes, and dark chocolate. She was now currently facing a hot sauce child. But if this girl was hot sauce, what was Tsukiko?

".... Um." She paused. What could she say to calm the clearly upset student, Tsukiko had never met anyone like her and this made her not sure hot to react. Luckily she wasn't terrified anymore. Definitely not annoyed like the girl. Just sort of baffled. "If I say you're right will that make you happy? I mean um I have no problem doing that if it makes you happy."

It was in this instant that Tsukiko remembered something from when she was a child. Which made her giggle a little to herself as she looked to the girl that seemed to be fuming still. "S-Sorry." She cleared her throat and sighed with a relaxed expression. "I just thought. You remind me of someone I used to play with. We'd always argue over the rules of a game we made in seconds. B-But I guess uh... This isn't like that."

She needed to stop rambling. But to her credit, she was so good at it. Rambling was a skill acquired through years of having to talk to all sorts of people and always being alone with her thoughts. Then again maybe rambling was actually really bad at times like these?

"You're definitely right about my running in the halls. I take full responsibility for my actions. But... You have to realize that even being beside the door like that is very dangerous. If you'd gotten hurt by someone else I'm sure it would make the person that bumped into you feel awful even without your lecturing to them. No one likes hurting someone for no reason. A-At least I'd hope most people don't... A-And I'd actually hope no one likes hurting others because that's so ugly. Um, u-ugly inside and uh bad for the soul." She ended up rambling on accident. It was just kind of something she did. "S-Sorry I'm rambling again."

Yasuko was baffled. The response was not exactly what she had predicted. Usually, whenever she started yelling at somebody, they either argued back viciously, or profusely apologise. This girl's question, however, was not in her list of so-called 'conventional' responses. Or that is, she actually hadn't met people who responded to her in this way. And well, technically, the first-year in front of her wasn't wrong about what Yasuko wanted. But it was the way she worded it that made her stop in her tracks. In fact, the response made her angry. "Wha-!" was all she could say, making incoherent noises. Although it made her angry, she had no idea what to say as a reply.

As the newcomer started rambling, all Yasuko could do was stare at her in confusion, giving her a look that said 'what-are-you-talking-about'. How did her childhood friend get into the picture? And how was it even related to this? Maybe she should amend her impressions of the girl; she should add 'rambler' to the 'nervous, stuttering character' archetype she held in her head. Yasuko was clearly rudely stereotyping people, but it was obvious she could care less.

Yasuko would have bristled immensely at the girl's sudden talk about how her position at the door was dangerous, but the continuous rambling made her stop and just stare at her again. First she started to talk about how she could potentially hurt somebody by standing at the door, but she then switched topics to people having ugly souls if they choose to hurt someone willingly. And Yasuko didn't know how to respond to it. Instead, she just facepalmed and groaned.

"Well, whatever," she waved dismissively. "I don't know what you're here for, but I have no idea what you're talking about and I don't have time to figure it all out. I just need to find a bloody book and then we never have to talk to each other again." She turned away, looking back at the library. Oh right, she hadn't had a proper strategy to find the book yet. Ugh, of all things to happen, a bump encounter and she lost her train of thought. Typical. "Ughhhhhhhh I can't believe this..." she muttered, rubbing the bridge of her nose in exasperation.

The hot sauce girl was still very spicy. Tsukiko figured she would just let her be. She'd clearly made a horrible first impression but part of being who she wanted to be probably meant not caring what others thought of you. That was really hard to do considering it had been such a huge factor in her life. It would be one forever actually. That's just the way she was raised and to anyone else it was normal to worry about something so silly, wasn't it? Especially when you're a teenager in high school. You just want to be accepted and feel safe in a group of people.

"Oh!" Tsukiko didn't realize that's why hot sauce girl was standing by the library. Maybe this girl knew where that book was! That would be great if she did. That way she wouldn't have to spend the rest of her day searching for it. So with complete disregard of her previous intention to leave this poor girl alone, she started speaking to her again.

"Excuse me, I'm also looking for a book. Do you know where a book called, The Heart's Egg is?" It wasn't that strange of a title. Hopefully hot sauce girl wouldn't think it was a very strange title. After all, there were so many strange titles out there. She could recall there being a few with very obscene titles.

"I'm not exactly sure what it looks like but I really need to find it!" She looked at the other girl with urgency as she moved forward to stand in front of her. "I'm thinking it might have an egg on the cover considering the title of the book. Th-Though I might be wrong..." Tsukiko began moving her fingers. As if trying to draw an egg shape in the air to clarify the idea it might have an egg on the cover. She couldn't feel nervous around someone so grumpy. Tsukiko was used to grumpy. Most of the male figures she'd grown up with were grumpy. Not to say this girl reminded her of a boy or a man. Just that she seemed grumpy. Sort of like that too tired for you shenanigans.

"It could have a completely different cover, though. I've actually never seen it so I'm unsure about its appearance and what exactly is written in it." Even if this girl didn't know about it that would be more then fine. Just thinking about if she knew made Tsukiko feel nervous. Because that would mean she would have to explain why she needed it or worst. She would be letting hot sauce girl realize she too has a fairy thing. Because if hot sauce girl knew that meant she had a fairy thing that hatched from an Easter looking egg, right?

Yasuko stared at her with a mix of confusion and just plain bewilderment. She had already said that they didn't have to talk to each other again, but now the girl suddenly wanted to find a book too?! What kind of book did she wanted to find anyway? She didn't have time to help this other first-year on finding another book when she had to find hers as well!

Well, what if they were finding the same book? Haha, that'll be such a coincidence were her skeptical thoughts. That'll be such a high school stereotypical plot device.

"The Heart's Egg?" Yasuko echoed, looking at the girl with puzzlement. Well, wasn't that an incredibly cheesy title for a book. What would it even be about? It sounded like one of those books that talked about rainbows and sparkles and pretty unicorns; some kind of childish thing like that. In fact, the first-year was about to comment on its seemingly childish title, if not for the other girl suddenly taking steps closer to her. She sounded like she wanted the book in a hurry. And she had started to ramble. Again. "Whoa, whoa slow down!" the first-year said, her hands up as if somehow by doing so she'll be able to physically make the girl stop talking.

"So...let me get this straight," Yasuko said, her right hand on her head as if she was thinking. "You're looking for some book called the "Heart's Egg" and it might have an egg on its cover? And you have never actually seen this book, not once?" The girl asked, her arms now folded across her chest. "Do you at least know what's in the book at least?" Granted Yasuko was entirely skeptical. She didn't think this other girl sounded particularly reliable, judging from the way she rambled and how she didn't have much information on said book. And Yasuko herself was certainly being rather rude for writing the other girl off in such a way, but it was clear that she didn't care about it.

Though a book with 'Egg' in its title...maybe they were looking for a similar book?! After all, it had the word 'Egg' and she was looking for a book that talked about Guardians and Eggs! That would be one hell of a coincidence but surely Yasuko was being silly.

The very anxious Tsukiko began to sweat. If she explained what she thought might be in it, how would this girl react? Would she be irritated Tsukiko wasted her time? The questions that wouldn't have answers unless she spoke up began to torment her. Either way, she was already doomed, right? This girl didn't seem to like her at all and Tsukiko, well she didn't know how to feel about her. She wasn't terrified of her but more of what she would say.

"W-Well I'm not entirely sure but I have uh been told it has something that can help explain another something... I-It's kind of hard to say what exactly that might be but it's not anything bad or well um, at least, I'm hoping it won't tell me anything scary or more confusing than what I already know and don't really understand..." Quickly shutting up after saying all that, Tsukiko stared down at her yellow sneakers.

If the school hadn't been fairly noisy from the sound of club members outside and the footsteps all around plus the little chitchat you could hear. Tsukiko would have began worrying that this first year, just like her, would start hearing her loud thumping heartbeat. The worst thing about all this was the sweating she couldn't control. It was easy to stay calm when you're standing with someone you know even if you don't know them well. But when you're face to face with a stranger things get complicated and messy.

Tsukiko gets complicated and messy.

"I-It might be here. It might now be here, though. I was just told to come look here because books can usually be found in a library."

Yasuko raised an eyebrow skeptically, her gaze not once lifting from the other girl. The other first-year was rambling again. And rambling things that still didn't answer her questions. Nor did it even help them in figuring out how to obtain this...book that the other girl wanted. She was beginning to think her initial impressions of this girl was starting to seem true.

She sighed, folding her arms across her chest. She really didn't have time for this.

But wait. What if it was possible that they were really looking for the same thing? She had written it off as silly at first - but she had numerous pretty cliche high-school encounters and characters that seemed to be fitting of some high-school character archetypes (as rude as that seemed, Yasuko obviously didn't care about stereotyping the people she met). Wouldn't that mean that the possibility that she and her could potentially be looking for the same thing - wouldn't that make it high on the list?

Eh, she supposed she could try. She herself had no clues on how to find that book anyway, and it didn't hurt to try something like that, even if she herself didn't quite believe it would work. If the other girl didn't know anything about Guardian Characters or Eggs, then she could simply feign ignorance or act like it was just some silly story she heard. And she had heard plenty of silly stories.

"So you're looking for a book with the title of 'The Heart's Egg'..." she started, not looking at the other girl. "Egg huh...I recall some kind of story related to it. About little tiny humans that hatch from those eggs...apparently they can help grant your deepest desires or something..." she started to say, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. "I think there was a name for those things...hmm..." she pretended to think deeply, before she immediately said "Ah right! Guardian Characters. Strange name huh, for something like those?" She laughed, before she finally looked at the girl. "But that's just a silly story, isn't it?" she said.

Yasuko wasn't at all serious.

Tsukiko stood there as the color in her face spilled right out. She couldn't even move. It felt like she would fall if she even moved. Her chest tightened and it was the beginnings of a panic attack. The first thing that came to mind was the realization that if this was a story, then Tsukiko wasn't the only one with an egg and a little fairy sized person telling them crazy things about would be selves, right?

The last thing she wanted was getting involved in it anymore. She just wanted some answers to her questions, that was all! She didn't want to be involved in something that had others in it. If it was a story and if someone like this girl knew it, did that mean this girl had one too? Did it mean that others at the school did? Tsukiko couldn't even keep a polite smile on her face as she began to sweat from the stress she was giving herself from asking all the questions in her head.

Pretty soon she'd probably be so panicked she would forget to breathe or worse vomit her breakfast. It wasn't as big a deal as she was making it. But to Tsukiko anything big or anything that involved a lot of people including herself, well it terrified her. It wouldn't be any different then having to do group related things in a classroom like she did in middle school. Being involved in something with lots of people that was like putting someone terrified of bugs into a bug bowl.

"S-Silly... R-R-Right." She wanted to run away right now. She wanted to stop talking about it because she didn't want to be involved. Tsukiko wanted to be invisible right this second! So like magic Rosary who was listening in Tsukiko's bag poofed to do the character change. The black headband with the white thorns poofed onto her head and before any words could be exchanged, Tsukiko had vanished.

Her character change allowed for quick movement and she was already hiding somewhere in the library. Her heart was no longer pounding as she hid between a row of book cases. It was the second time she had character changed and she couldn't have been happier to do it. When she was like this she could disappear. Maybe not completely but at the very least she could make her escape and hide. She could wait till the thing that scared her disappeared.

Yasuko really wasn't at all serious about it.

She honestly really wasn't.

So cue her surprise to find the first-year before her actually beginning to look pale. And more nervous than usual. Blinking, she stared at the girl before her wordlessly, wondering if she had truly interpreted the reaction right. But the way the girl stuttered seemed to confirm to her that Yasuko had indeed hit the mark. If she know about the "story", she must have an egg. Or even a hatched Guardian Character. There was always the possibility that the girl could've been lying in some form, but the first-year before her didn't seem like the type that would be able to hide it, basing on her expression and her body language.

Honestly, Yasuko was more surprised that it worked. After all, what were the odds of two strangers bumping into each other looking for the exact same thing? Not to mention said thing was about something that only a handful of people should know about. And said thing could only be seen by a certain group of people.

"Wait-" she had started, intending to get more out of the first-year before her. She wanted to know how the girl knew about the book and what it could tell them. She wanted to know if she had seen others with eggs too. And...if she had one too. But before she could finish her sentence, the first-year had disappeared right before her very eyes.

"Holy crap wha--!" She couldn't help but exclaim, taking a step backwards in shock. A sudden torrent of shhhhhhhhhs! immediately followed, causing her to clasp both of her hands over her mouth. Was she seeing this right?! One minute the girl before her was sweating nervously and becoming flustered; the next, the girl had completely disappeared! What was she, magic?! She wasn't at all a believer in such things, but if eggs and Guardian Characters existed, then maybe some of that did too. Although it never stopped her from being skeptical still.

It was obvious she had never seen a character change before.

Now what should she do? The first-year had ditched her and now she was alone. Well not technically that alone, not with the librarian still around and some students here and there. But should she stay or should she try to find the girl? Assuming she was still somehow in the library.

Well even if she did think some magic could be around, this whole disappearing act sounded too far-fetched for her. There must have been some other more...logical explanation for it all. And she would call for her - until she realized that she didn't know what the person's name was.

She sighed. Her search for the book would surely go better than that. To which she realized that the other girl had left her the book's name. She supposed she could try...

Walking up to the librarian, she started to inquire about its title.

As her heart settled the character change broke. Rosary stared at Tsukiko with those big red eyes of hers and seemed slightly upset with the girl. "What was that?" Rosary demanded an answer from the now calm Tsukiko. Although the question brought about some of that anxiety, again. "Nothing... I just didn't want to..." She didn't want to get any more involved with this. But if she said that, it'd be like denying Rosary's existence. How could she do something so cruel to someone that wanted to help her?

"If you want to get stronger. Well also learning more about what is happening around you. Then you need to understand that there are going to be more people facing the same difficulties and asking the same questions as you. Do you not realize there are people that want answers just like you?" It wasn't that Tsukiko didn't think that there were. But that girl made Tsukiko nervous.

She sat there quiet as she pulled her legs close and dropped her head on her knees as her arms stayed hugging her legs. "Tsukiko by no means am I telling you to go and be that girl's friend. I'm not telling you to spend hours talking to her." The pink haired fairy floated closer so she could pat Tsukiko's head. "I'm just saying it's probably to your benefit if you get her to let you search for that book together."

"I'm afraid Rosary." Afraid she'll say something more to annoy that girl or worse to be hated. "I'm such an uncomfortable person to be around." If only she could be a bit more of a people person. Everything would've turned out better if she had been.

"I don't think she was uncomfortable. I don't like her but I don't like anyone that doesn't shine." As cruel as Rosary was she wouldn't stop Tsukiko from talking to someone just because she didn't like them. Besides this girl hadn't hurt Tsukiko, she just scared her. "Stop being scared of everyone. How can you be a great hider if you let your fear ooze out of you? Anyone can sense that shaky presence of yours. It's embarrassing for me as your guardian character."

Tsukiko was getting scolded now. That was just great. As Rosary went on scolding her, Tsukiko shifted her body so her hands and knees pressed on the floor. She started to crawl towards the end of the row that she was hiding between and peeked out to look for the hot sauce girl. "I'm pretty sure she's still here..."

"Hurry up and talk to her. Let's get this over with so I can look at my shiny things to feel better. I'm in an awful mood thanks to two morons." The words stung worse than a bee sting. But Tsukiko just smiled because she didn't hate the way Rosary was so honest about her own feelings.

"Maybe she's that way?" Tsukiko stood and snuck around searching. People probably wondering what the weirdo was doing.

"Do you think I could be her friend?" Tsukiko asked with slightly pink cheeks.

"Have fun being her friend if you do." Rosary said with sarcasm, she could care less.

"You want to find what?" the librarian asked, staring at Yasuko as if she hadn't heard her right. Judging from the Seiyo school uniform that she was wearing, the librarian was not an adult but one of the student librarians. Wearing glasses. And having an irritated look on her face. Today did not seem to be this librarian's happy time. And Yasuko seemed to be making it worse.

Typical, just typical Yasuko thought, as she stared at the student librarian with a slight grimace. Of course on the one day that she was in the library to find a book, an annoyed librarian was seated at reception. Not just a librarian but a student librarian. And this seemed to be one of those extremely serious, easily irritated upperclassman too. The day was getting loads better.

"The Heart's Egg," the first-year repeated, trying her best not to get angry. She could certainly create some snide remark that would make the both of them end up in a shouting match (and get her banned from the library no doubt), but she would rather endure the librarian's snarky comments than lose her one lead on the whole eggs and Guardian Characters thing. "It's a book about...eggs and characters that are born from them or something," she offered, hoping that her explanation of its possible contents might help aid in her search.

The librarian just raised an eyebrow at her skeptically, before typing the title onto the computer next to her.

"Nope," she immediately replied, tapping on the computer screen. "There doesn't seem to be one here. Can't find it on the library search. Are you sure that's the title? I don't quite recall a book like that in my years of being a student librarian." The older girl continued, giving Yasuko a doubtful look. A look that said You sure you know what you're doing, first-year?

Yasuko resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the librarian. "Okay nevermind. Thanks anyway."

Sighing, she turned away from reception, to look over the library. How was she going to find the book now?

Well, since the librarian was of no help, and the other girl had disappeared, she supposed she was on her own now. And since she had no idea how to start searching for it, there was no harm in just checking all the shelves right? Placing her hand on the first bookshelf next to her, she began to skim through the shelves, in hopes of finding it. It wasn't the most brilliant of plans, but eh it was something. Maybe by doing so, she might bump into that other first year?! That would be hilarious, bumping into the same girl twice in one day.
